I know a guy who's a Talent Agent here in LA who collects. He's probably a millionare. My friends have been to his house, he has bins of vintage final 17 laying around, carded and loose (along with everything else you can image. Rich people collect too.

Wow, Madoka, that's awesome!  Seriously, how healthy it is for the continued production of SW for some people to buy hundreds of a particular figure!  I have 5 of this guy, and don't plan any more.  Four of them are manning my DS gun dio, and one without armor is standing in my Emperor arrival mini-dio.

Madoka, out of curiosity, how do you go about acquiring such a large number of figures? Getting my 36 took a bit of work. I went to the stores, bought several at a time and did a lot of trading. Also made sure I payed under retail for every one of them (sales and smart trades.) I'm curious as to how others build their armies.

If any of the figures I want sells online, then it's quite easy to order large amounts.  Anyone with money and willpower (or lack thereof) can do it.  Here in southern California, I saw maybe 2 DS gunners on the pegs.  When I visited the midwest, I was surprised to see about  a dozen in the three stores I visited. 


Back then the Dark Trooper was out, I was still in law school and didn't have that much money.  Now I'm looking forward to add to my collection:

Do you have the AT AT's out of the box? I'd love to see a lineup of 25 of those things...

I still don't like the Darktrooper though, but that has nothing to do with quantity. How many VOTC stormies do you have?

holy wow that's a lot of stuff!

I'm up to 10 DS gunners (saga) and found a couple more POTF in my boxes, bringing me to 20 total. I think I'm set unless they build another death star in the TV series.

So far I've 4 two of the wierd no articulation and two new if your counting in vintage 25 all together
