Hot baby...all the way :-*

I love spicy food which is a hinderance in Minnesota where "hot" is about a degree above ketchup

Good topic.

I love hot salsa when it's freshly made, with a good amount of cilantro in it.  Not real big on jarred salsa, but Newman's does just fine in a pinch. I'd rather hold out and get some at a good Mexican restaurant.

Yeah, we definitely aren't west where salsa is hot.  Carrie is of course correct, fresh is better.

In Hawaii this past December, had Maui Tacos.  Pretty good and the Salsa was indeed fresh.  The pineapple salsa was quite a treat.

I've been pretty lucky lately and more than a couple of local places carry a variety of hot sauces.  Initially it was one small kiosk in a mall, but one of the larger grocery chains sort of stole the poor guys thunder, but save me about $4 for the small bottles.  I'll get an inventory for you guys in a couple of days so you can see the list of stuff to mess up yer innards that resides in my house.

I will say I'm not necessarily into hot for the sake of hot.  I have to like the flavor as well.  So the flaming _______ sort of sauces aren't really for me, unless the wife and kid are out of town and lots of beer will be consumed. ;)  More importantly so no innocent victims are harmed the next day :o

The hotter the better!  I can't stand weak salsa that has no zing to it.  If I'm not sweating after eating the salsa, then it's crappy salsa.  Freshly made salsa is definitely the way to go and to also have a lot of cilantro in it.  My wife makes homemade salsa all the time.  Yum!

HOT!  Otherwise, what's the point?  Now, I'm not gulping down habanero's, but I definitely prefer my salsa hot.

It must be impossible for a Spanish person to order seltzer and not get salsa. "I wanted seltzer, not salsa!"

Personally, I like my salsa with a hint of silicon.  But eat it fast!

Sad but true...ever since I was diagnosed with the Raging Case of Acid Reflux I've been cutting back on spicy foods...no more jalapenos on my sub at Subway, medium salsa on the Burrito at Chipotle and medium or mild on the tacos at home.  I miss the heat but don't miss the esophogial spasms that were a part of my life for a long time
