I guess it's been nearly a year since I posted anything new here.  I've been busy over the winter.  Here are me new pieces and some updates to old ones.  I have also made some large updates to my SWAG gallery.  Many of my custom figures have corresponding original art and backstories there.   My next big project will be to bring the customs, art and backstories all together in one dossier.

First is a group of Sith.

Super Articulated Darth Maul - Theed Palace Duel.  I was able to do everything except ball jointed shoulders.

I redid my Battle of Ruusan Darth Bane using the head from the Evolutions pack.

This is a better photo of Darth Omen (owner of the Sith's Herald) to replace the old, bad photo.

This is an Old Republic era Sith Lord

My final new Sith is Darth Ceadus.

Next is my New Republic Commando team, Nexu Squad.  Check out my SWAG gallery for profiles on this group.

First is the Zeltron group commander, Maj. Ciaria Racksala - Codename: Vertigo.

Next is the Bothan 2nd in command, Lt. Skrit Ney’bsiem - Codename: Jackal

Third is the group sniper and communications specialist, Sgt. Rogan Kher - Codename: Hotshot

Fourth is the computer and heavy weapons specialist.  He is a prototype Human Replica Droid, whose body is slowly dying on the chassis.  He's known as Sgt. Grimm - Codename: Reaper

Finally is the Rodian pilot, Lt. Beroodo - Codename: Carrier

Nexu Squad

I do have quite a bit more.  I will post it soon.  Let me know what you think  Thanks!

Here's my next batch of new stuff.

This first one really isn't anything new.  I had a bunch of customized ewoks.  I recently added to the renks with some simple hood swaps.  I just wanted to get a picture of the tribe all together.

The next batch is some random folks from throughout the Empire.

A dashing Moff

A Twi'Lek citizen

A droid hobbyist had fun cobbling together these two...  or maybe they're Feral Droids

An aging moisture farmer

A Morgukai Warrior

Another guard for Jabba's palace

An aristocratic gambler

A Klatooinian Traveler

A smuggler

A new female Mandolorian

Here are all of my Mandolorians together

Here's a cadre of new Jedi

And Finally...  When I finally get around to writing the story many of the characters from my customs and drawings will inhabit, this guy will be the key character.  This is Tranoj, an orphaned Chiss Jedi.  You can see his profile in my SWAG gallery.

Young Tranoj

Adult Tranoj

Wow, man, it has been a long time, but what an update! Where to begin?! Well, first of all, your customs are still as varied as ever, a trademark quality in your work.

As always, your paint work is spot on and very tidy. Especially the adult Tranoj looks absolutely marvelous. And his younger version is pretty impressive too.

Nexu Squad is just great. What a cool group of characters. They probably could benefit from some washes and weathering, though  :)

My favourite ones would have to be that old moisture farmer. I was scrolling down your page and when this guy came in view.... I was blown away. Such a simple background like character, yet really standing out there.

Great work man, glad to see you're still customizing and my compliments on your fine additions to your SWAG gallery! Love the airspeeders and b/w sketches of the Ithorian, Mon Cal and such  8)

Awesome additions Steve.  Are you going to have a customizing party at your place again this Summer?  I'd love to get some tips and tricks.

Cool additions, Steve. I agree with Justin on the customizing party. That was a good time and it's been too long since we had one (wish we could do it more frequently and I could get some pointers on customizing).

Also love the drawings. I didn't know you were an artist as well. Once upon a time I used to draw quite a bit. Wanted to get into graphic novels back in the day.

Thanks much guys!  - And I'm not ignoring the hints on the customizing party.  I'd love to do it again.  As you can probably tell from my lack of attending a monthly meeting in over a year though, my evenings have gotten very busy this year.  Usually winter was slower, but with two kids in dancing, swimming and girl scouts...  well, you can guess the rest.

I will try and clear up a time this summer and see who all it will work for.

I entered an idea for a 'toy customizing' panel at CONvergence, our big local sci-fi & fantasy convention in Minneapolis, in July.  It got enough panelists to make the cut, so we're on.

I'm planning on bringing some of my work to display and discuss the following:

•What to build - planning a custom vs. building one from leftover fodder
•Parts (fodder) - what to look for, where to get it
•Disassembly & assembly - tips & techniques
•Painting - primary coats, weathering, etc.
•Accessories
•Vehicles, props, etc.

Any other ideas on what info. folks might like to share?

I can't believe I haven't posted new work here for almost two years.  I have a few things I just finished up, and a few more in the works.  Let me know what you think.

The first is a super articulated Hoth Luke.  The new Han with Tauntaun on the shelf upstaged the POTF Luke so bad, I needed to put together a comparable Luke to sit on his new ride.

The next set is Domino Squad from the first episode of CLone Wars season 3.  Of course, Hevy has been available for a while, but I studied the episode to get all the right markings for Droidbait, Echo, Cutup and Fives.

I used some spare parts and a new paintjob to make a new Death Star officer.

I made a Princess Kneesaa out of an old Kenner Wicket years ago, but I sold her, so I decided it was time to have Princess Kneesaa 2.0

Finally, one of my first Star Wars customs was Darth Omen, a Sith Lord of my own design.  I decided he also needed a facelift, so here is Darth Omen 2.0.

Here's my latest batch. Enjoy!

Sector Marshall Tat Argota.  Agent Argota is a character of my own design.

An Ewok elder

An aging utility droid

An Imperial Grand Admiral

A Jedi

A Bounty Hunter

A Devaronian Thug

A Tatooine Settler

Three new Mandalorians

All my custom Mandos together

Spectacular customs Steve.  I really like newer ewoks you've made decked out with detail and accessories.  And that custom Mando army is wicked.  We need to get another customization party back on the calendar.
