Reference/ Background Picture Thread
« on: May 11, 2005, 08:38 PM »
This is an idea I came up with while looking for landscape shots and character pics....

So feel free to use it to request information on a character or to post any pictures you find that you think would be useful to the photonovelists / customizers here.

 :)

This is an amazing idea, I'm glad you thought of it, JediKnight.

Perennial posted some great forest pics on RS tonight too...maybe we should invite him here and have him add them to the library?

Any good pics of Geonosis landscapes?

Whoops, I posted a thread about this before seeing this thread. sorry (but you will enjoy!)

I recently went on a camping trip for school, and We stopped by MacMillan National Park, the Forest where they filmed part of Return Of The Jedi. You know what this means? I got to freaking FROLIC ON THE FOREST MOON OF ENDOR! And you know what it means for you people with fancy displays? I'm giving the customizing community a gift: pictures of the forest for a backdrop of custom dioramas. ENJOY!

Great idea for a thread... a few of these pics you emailed me, and they're already coming in useful for the Rykrof Enloe series.   :)

*bump*

I think this remains a good idea, and should be given a sticky. Anyone got any others to contribute?

Hi, all

I need referance pics for my favorite R5, which is R5-K6.
I have a nice shot of the head  (which is all there was made for the films) I need to know what the body looks like. This might be tough (for me it is). I'm sure there is a referance for this someplace in the EU or inside a technical manual. If someone can find it I would be glad. Once I have the pics I'll make the figure and post it here  ;D

Here is the pic I have (I also found more angles)... but, I need to know what its body looks like

Wow! I don't customize (well, except for one 3PO I painted silver and a never-completed repaint job on a Tatooine Luke ;)) but this is great for reference pics, desktop wallpapers, and the like.

Jediknight760071 -- :o Your images are freaking incredible! Where did you get them?

ThePerennial -- Great "Endor" pics.

TT8L -- That looks like what Darth Maul's astromech would have looked like if he had one. ;D I've read practically every EU guide and technical manual out there, and so far I've never seen a depiction of his body. Up to now I didn't even know he had a name! :) So I think it's safe to just make something up.
