I have been looking at that pic for a while today.  I just do not get the attraction.  The figure looks like it belongs in the G.I.Joe line. :-\
You're right. That pic may let me leave him on the pegs. He looks like ****!

I haven't seen hide nor hair of this wave locally yet...  Hell the first Endor Figures are still not in most collector's hands in my area.  This is a real drought situation out here again...  It was ok for a while with the Tatooine Wave but we're back to most WM's being baren of figures or clogged with the Epic Battles crappola.   >:(

Sounds like 2003 (the entire year) around here all over again.

I've only seen two figures of the wave on the pegs so far. The black Rebel Trooper and the Naboo Soldier. I though for a fact Id see the Holo Maul, Naboo Soldier and Vader warming by now.  ???
I remember my dream now.

Yeah, you did see the Naboo guy. ;)  Surprise about Maul & Vader though. I'd think kids would want a real Maul & a non-near death Vader, before the 2 we're getting now.

I gotta say I think the picture looks good...  *waits for people to toss vegetable refuse at him*

I dig him a little more...  Especially the pose.  It helps broaden out the figure's features and the head looks less pinnish.  ALmost like his shoulders are just broader or something.

I don't mind him...  He's accurate, nicely articulated, a removable helmet...  He was nowhere on my wants lists really I don't think, but I'm ok with him.  Good custom fodder too which is relaly just a plus to me, but it's the truth.  I still like the Endor Rebels more in this wave though.

I just picked up the newest version of the Visual Dictionary, because I was lured in with "More Original Trilogy Content".... one of the 3 new OT pages shows the White Endor Soldier and profiles him a bit.  They List him as Colonel (Later General) Airen Cracken.  Interesting that he has a back story etc. He also has a life in EU in some books.

Now that I have a few of each of these Endor Soldiers, let me give my mini-review.

Decent Head Sculpts (I like the ball socket head for head swaps)
Great Weapon Choice (it beats the Rifles made of gummy bear plastic)
The holsters on all 8 of mine do not hold the pistol without a little help.
The Legs are a great improvement and very accurate to uniforms I have been able to get a close look at, with the Gaitors and all.

THE ARMS SUCK THE SUCK OF 1000 SUCKS.  Why they even bothered to articulate the shoulders with that vest/jacket really boggles my mind.  This figure is still on my "Needs to be redone list" because of the arms.  I know, I am bitching about plastic toys, but hey every PT one film cell Jedi andClone  gets super-articulation why not some of the same thing for OT army builders.  Also as an OT only collector, these are the last figures for me till Wave 2 of next years line up/releases (or as I call it the 2nd Anniverary of ROTS).

In the great pecking order of suckness He barely Edges out the Rebel Fleet Trooper, and at least doesn't suck as bad as the Hoth Hobbit from Saga the 1st.

That's interesting because I've read all the X-Wing books, which I'm assuming is the EU you're talking about, and they mentioned him at the Battle of Endor. Sounds like a lame attempt to make a connction, to me at least.

Zing! Isn't the product manager for the new Star Wars line the old product manager of the Joe line? I think I talked to someone on the team about it  at the 2004 or 2005 Comic Con.

He was a gunner on the Falcon. AFAIK he was not actually on Endor during the battle. I suspect the character was created first and later assigned to a film extra (rather than the other way around) but in any case the two were connected years ago.

Another person looking for a Maul ???  I have found this wave on 4 seperate occasions and have not seen Maul once. I thought for sure he would be an instant peg warmser but it looks like another Vader (surprise) is going to take the lead.
