Couldn't agree more. I finally got around to watching Forbidden Planet and the Day the Earth Stood Still. No excuse anymore when they're at your fingertips.

I caught This is England on the XBox today. It's a great film and is somewhat like an English version of American History X. I think Thomas Turgoose, the kid who plays the lead role, did a fantastic job. The final shot is perfect, and very reminscent of Truffaut's The 400 Blows.

Added to queue!  :)

Of course, my queue is 170 movies long, so it might be a while 'til I get to see it, but at least it's there and I won't forget to add it.

This past weekend, we took some friends' kids to see Bolt in 3D.  What a great movie!
This is the way.

I have spoken.

Yeah, me too. I didn't have high hopes for it, but, wow, it really sounds like they dropped the ball.

I just finished dowloading the flick & burned to a dvd, I'll watch it during some quiet time. The copy is pretty good quality, too bad you can't say the same for the flick.  :P

Saw TDTESS yesterday.  Meh....This will be in the WM $5 bin in a year or two.  Never saw the Pursuit of Happiness, but Will Smith's son did a pretty god job in this flick.

Didn't care much for the Wolverine trailer at all.

Caught Quantum Of Solace today. Not as good as Casino Royale, but still pretty good.

Saw Gran Torino today. It was really good! Clint Eastwood is still badass at 70+ years old.

I saw Ben Button yesterday...I thought is was good but it wasn't great.  Visually (as has been the case with a lot of movies lately) it is stunning.  The acting is also fabtabulous.  I just didn't connect with the story at all.  I get where they were trying to go but it just didn't get there for me.  I'd still give it a solid 8 out of 10

I saw "Doubt" last night and it was pretty interesting.  Don't go see it if you like neat and tidy movies that spell everything out for you, but if you like to sit and discuss what happened and what it means afterwards, this is a good movie for you.  I don't want to give too much away, but the title is very appropriate in many ways.  I would give it four out of five stars.
