Well, to me it seemed a bit like an Vacation remake where everything could go wrong did on this road trip with a 6 flawed characters added to the mix...I thought the contest was great though

Possible spoiler? Left up to interpretation?

I got off the phone with my wife in SOCAL...she tells me they had traffic in both directions stopped on the road over the dry lake bed coming from/to my  home AF Base. She told me they were filming some more of the 'Transformers movie'. She desribed a huge big-rig truck (optimus prime?) with flames on it, there was also a large overly 4WD vehicle as well. She was in front of the stopped traffic. They were doing a shoot where the vehicles make a turn around on the road. For those that don't know this is a 2 lane in/2 lane out road with dry lake bed on both sides.

For some strange reason A B1 bomber flew directly overhead(in-line with the road) with it's wings swept. It would be cool if there was a transforming bomber
I find that unlikely though...probably just a local sortie where the aircrew flew overhead for 'a look'.

I guess the shooting is not yet done for this film....I remember last fall they asked for 'extras' for a shoot on the dry lake on the base itself(different dry lake) (they wanted GI's in uniform). This was the first I've heard of a shoot since then.

They were doing pick-ups (re-shoots,) very typical. Happens after they're done "principal" photography and have decided they need to redo or add scenes after they're done an edit of the movie.

They're going to have to do a lot of pick-ups to make the movie good IMO, based on the script.

I felt the same way.  Maybe my expectations were a little high after all the Oscar talk.

No Oscar worthy performances IMO - then again, I never agree with their choices.

SPOILER ALERT!!

The guy that won best supporting actor was in the movie for what, thirty minutes?

Got to see Shooter last night. I have to say, It didn't suck. I actually liked it, though I can't say it's the most solid movie ever made. Simply entertaining.

Anyone see The Last Mimzy?  I'm intrigued as it has an Explorers type vibe to it for some reason and that was one of my favorite movies as a youth

He looks like holy hell.

Am I the only one who thought Rocky and Rambo should have been left alone?

Rambo yes, Rocky no. I thought Rocky Balboa was well done, and a way better ending to Rocky's life than Rocky V.

A gunshot wound to the head would've been a better ending to Rocky's life than Rocky V.

I would have no problem with that.

But they both have to die.

Maybe John McClain shoots Rambo?

I thought Rocky Balboa was a great movie, and a much better to end the series witht han ROcky V. However, that pic of Rambo makes me very sad.  :-[
