Dan Aykroyd: 'Ghostbusters 3' is officially a go

Quote
Who ya gonna call? Maybe not Bill Murray.

Dan Aykroyd, the man behind the “Ghostbusters” movies, says the hotly-anticipated "Ghostbusters 3" will finally start filming this spring. With or without Bill Murray.

“Yes, we will be doing the movie and hopefully with Mr. Murray," Aykroyd told Dennis Miller on his radio show. "That is our hope. We have an excellent script.” But while he admits, “Billy was absolutely the lead and contributed to it in a massive way,” Aykroyd points out, “The concept is much larger than any individual role.”

Basically, they can do without you, Mr. Murray!

In the next movie, Aykroyd says, “We get to hand the equipment and the franchise down to new blood."

And speaking of new blood, Ashton Kutcher’s name has been thrown around in relation to a younger squad.

We went and saw Killer Elite today and it was a great movie!

I went into it thinking it was just a shoot-em-up action flick, and although there is plenty of action, it's not that type of movie.  Well worth seeing!
This is the way.

Took our daughter to see the Muppets today...loved it.  Very good movie I thought, and great for the family.  There was a Toy Story short before it as well, which was also good.  Nice to see the Muppets back on the big screen, and I hope the movie does well and maybe we get another one down the road.  I was a big fan as a kid (and now), and our daughter watches the old movies and shows on DVD all the time so she was pretty pumped for this one and it didn't disappoint.  If you like the Muppets at all, I'd highly recommend it.

I totally agree! The Muppets was fantastic! We took the kids to see it at our Drive In (yes they still exist!) It was a double feature with Puss in Boots. Big win on both movies.

My wife and I take a date night once a month and decided on Friday to go see the Muppets.  I watched them sparingly as a kid, but my wife grew up with it always playing.  I laughed through the entire thing and loved the movie.

Would I take it over a zombie slaying movie, probably not...but very, very good for the family.

I caught the new Sherlock Holmes flick last night and it was spectacular.  I would highly receommend it.  I thought the first one was good, but this one totally blew it out of the water.  I had low expectations based on the ads, but it has a really interesting story, some great action scenes, and had us laughing throughout the movie.

If you think that is good you should see the BBC version of Sherlock. Season 2 starts in January.

The official trailer for the Alien prequel Prometheus is set to premiere tomorrow.  It's great to have Ridley Scott involved with the Alien franchise again!  There are already some teasers up on YouTube.

Ya I'm pretty stoked for Prometheus.  Everything kinda fell apart after Aliens though and I need not mention the AVP movies.
