If I'd missed it I would have been kicking myself too.  The end time (mid-afternoon CST) was probably the biggest problem for the seller, though he certainly had enough GG stuff for sale to attract attention.  Oh well, I'll be happy with that.

And thanks for coming in here and actually talking busts because this place is D. E. D. in that respect.  ;)

Picked up Yoda today.  #0042/3500 8)  Like his OT version, he's surprisingly small.

Most certainly! There will be plenty to talk about very soon, just wait.  :D

Just managed to score the ESB Vader mini-bust in the PGM sale.

Made my day.

Nice.  I saw it there too, but passed as I had it.  I was tempted by the Biker Scout statue that I really want, but $220 and shipping is way more than it goes for on Ebay.

:)  I think it was the last OT bust I need and I'm really happy about it because I nearly bought one a few weeks ago for around $160 plus shipping.

Are you complete on OT busts or just OT busts that you wanted?

That should be the last OT bust period.  As far as I know, this is all I'm missing:

  • Zam
  • Jango (armless)
  • Anakin (armless)
  • Blue EII Clone
  • Red EII Clone
  • White EII Clone
  • Yellow EII Clone
  • Mara Jade
  • Black Hole Stormtrooper

That said, I'm not buying holiday stuff or chrome stuff.  I'm also from here on out only doing EU busts that I like.... as in, I'm skipping the Republic Commando set and probably won't buy the TFU Stormtrooper Commander either.

In the meantime, this Vader thing went well, so I'll probably hold off on buying any more on the secondary market until these PGM sales have run their course.

Glad to hear you got a Vader in the sale, Rob. Always nice to get a good deal on an older piece like that.

Mine showed up the other day too... Yak Face wouldn't be something I'd make, but I like him all the same.  The Rex is undersized and cheap looking to me... I may end up selling him.

I was surprised by the super-low 800 edition size on Yak.

I honestly don't feel bad about not getting either Yakface or Captain Rex.  Why?  I stopped in my local comic shop today.  Those are the guys I deal with for my mini-bust preorders.  And sure enough, there's a Lando bust up for preorder in the new edition of Diamond Previews.  But also listed were a couple of others.

That got me thinking.  And I asked my guy at the comic shop just how many mini-busts I have on preorder.  The list is just staggering, and I honestly can't remember the last one I picked up.  It was either Garindan or the AT-AT Driver, but it was so long ago that my memory fails me.  And I still have these preorders outstanding:

Hoth Luke
Hoth Han
Mynock Hunt Leia
Darth Talon
4-LOM
....and now Lando

Is Gentle Giant planning on delivering any of these ANYTIME soon?

Does Darth Talon actually have a backstory of any significance or is it just some fanboy fantasy evil chick they all want to bang?

She was first seen in the Legacy comic series. Eventually becoming a Sith Lord, she was under the teachings of Darth Krayt 137 years ABY.
