Gentle Giant Mini-Busts

The Palpatine bust has been very surprising.  A friend of mine usually hangs back on the wide release busts and does some bargain hunting.  But he was surprised at how fast the Palpatine bust got really scarce.  I just opened mine for display over the weekend, and it really is a fantastic piece.  The detail is simply amazing.

I couldn't agree more! I hope I score the Shock Trooper next week. Displaying both of those together sure would tie the shelf together.

Well, that all depends on how smoothly this pre-order goes for the Shocktrooper.  I am going to be one tense collector when that pre-order goes up, especially after the whole BHS debacle.

I think that GG might offer some excess to the collector's club after the event, but it might be a similar situation to the BHS again.  10 minutes and they're all gone.

Thanks for looking out Tom!!!  Got your PM! I saw people already getting the email, and started s#!ting bricks, as I usually get GG's email with 25-30 minutes of it being reported.

Now I don't have to stress out about getting this piece, and can actually enjoy the con.

I got this qoute from the RS thread.

I found it through trial and error.  I used the information I had about how GG handles online sales (via orderwave.com) and fished around for the item numbers and active links, which were actually live yesterday, just without the items being in stock.  Attempting to put them in stock gave me an out of stock message at the orderwave store link.  I kept refreshing the order pages until today when they were finally in stock, and then forwarded the orderwave store link that GG was utilizing.

So it sounds like someone went around GG and got the link before GG wants to send out those links.  Hopefully GG sees this as being okay and doesn't cancel all of the orders that we have placed but it does kind of sucks for those who will eventually get an email to be one of the first to get these bust only to find them sold out.

Thanks for the link Tom.  Got my order in and my confirmation email before I ever got the official email from GG.  Glad to know that I won't be out in the cold like with the BHS.
