I guess you'd have to say those are "technically" configurations, based on the math of the extra pieces. However, now that mine has arrived, actual, workable configurations is probably much less.

Cool, but still, far too many possibilities.  This is an area I will stay away from army building.

Anyone expecting a chase sandtrooper variation?

The upcoming Sandtrooper minibust will have variations, orange and white pauldrons. They wont be chases though, there will be 1/2 orange, 1/2 white.

Hmm.  Can you order each specifically?

Should be able to, like the Clonetroopers

Just got my Deluxe Stormtrooper mini-bust today.  The number?  280 out of 10,000.  Can you believe that?!  But the nice added bonus was a Han Solo Bust Up that was packed in with it.  Nice little value added thing for Gentle Giant to do.

Hey, does anyone know if GG is doing a second Vader bust?  I was goofing around last night and almost won one, but missed by $2.  Wasn't overly sad about it really, I didn't honestly feel like dropping $215 last night.  But since I am nowhere near a completeist on these things, news of a new Vader bust would make me very, very happy.

I haven't heard anything definitive about a new Vader, but I think it's highly possible that we might get a new Vader in time for EPISODE III.

As for a re-release of the original version...there's no way in hell that's going to happen.  I heard that straight from the guys at Gentle Giant.

Sorry, yeah, I meant a different Vader bust, not a re-release.  Something with a saber perhaps? ;)

Wow. :o

I just received my stormtrooper bust today and is it ever a beauty.  I had hoped to get only one of these, but now I'm wondering if I'll be able to resist getting at least one more.  The box is great too and with the possibilities more are tempting.

FWIW I got it from alliancecollectibles.com, via ebay.  Great packing, fair shipping for Canuckleheads and good communictiona - a couple of email updates during September because this was essentially a pre-order.  End sunshine up the arse section.

c'mon brent.  You know you need another.  eventually you're going to break down and get the vader - and then you're going to need two stormtroopers to flank him.  ;D

I ordered 6 of the stormtrooper busts, expecting to be able to put them in all the different arm positions and display them all. After getting them, I'm not quite sure this is what I had hoped for. Most of the "poses" are just plain stupid. The arm positions are just so odd, they look ridiculous. I think GG had a great idea with this, but to me they dropped the ball a little bit - they could have executed this a little better.
