Thanks for the info guys, I wasn't sure how exactly Japan's postal system worked (besides EMS being faster than SAL).

Of course, even with the high price of shipping, it'll probably still be cheaper than waiting to grab them on eBay.

Just remember you get nailed with customs Jesse, hopefully they will mark just the one Kuby than both. They did that with my last Master Case, 4 boxes of 12 and only marked the value for one box.

just curious though, I got an email from HJL and they said I should recieve an order confirmation email by the 3rd, and it still isn't here. did you guys get yours.

I was just looking at some of my past orders from Japan to give you guys a base price.

From HLJ:
1 Master Case Series 5: Shipped EMS, 5400 yen = $45. US.
1 box Konami Thunderbirds: Shipped SAL, 1480 yen = $12.60. US
1 Captain Scarlet book: Shipped SAL, 1080 yen = $9.20. US.

Other:
1 400% Boba Fett: Shipped EMS, 4700 yen = $40. US.
40 Kubrick Display Cases: Shippied EMS, 6100 yen = $56. US. (very heavy box).

With EMS, you get a tracking number and most of my stuff arrived via courier (Purolator) and sometimes Canada Post. SAL was delivered via Canada Post. 

All those prices were bang on.

As for the confirmation email from HLJ, nothing thus far. If you have not received it then you should contact the e-mail addy given in the "Order Acknowledgment" that was sent out when you placed the order very soon.

I just forwarded there e-mail to them and am now waiting for a reply.

I just received an e-mail from HLJ:

Thank you very much for placing an order with HobbyLink Japan. This message is to confirm that we have received the following order and are now processing it.

They have the shipping method listed as SALSP so I am guessing that is "Surface, Land, Air, Small Parcel".

So for myself, it looks good to me. Hopefully everyone that placed there orders receives there confirmation soon.

Ya, I just got my confirmation too. It looks like EMS is really expensive, if they ship it the other way, maybe I will still get it. It looks to be alot cheaper on SAL. Lets hope.

I hope so too, it may all depend on what these Kuby's are packed in. We have no idea what to expect till there released. If there in the box style like the 400% Boba then I know the shipping cost will be up but if there just say in a plain old clear baggie then that make differ. 

I just received another e-mail from HLJ as to my inquiry on not receiving a confirmation before I got one:

Thank you for writing, and for your order. We apologize for the delay in
its confirmation; we were closed on November 3 for Japan's Culture Day
national holiday, but neglected to change the echo confirmation message
to let you know that your order would be confirmed on November 4. Your
order has been confirmed now, and the order confirmation e-mail with your
Customer ID were e-mailed to this address earlier today.

I will say that is a very fast response from HLJ and I'm very impressed with there customer service. Not like StarWarsShop.com

Just to keep you guys informed with HLJ, I received my Captain Scarlet book today. Shipped on Oct 25, 2005 by SAL (small packet). Arrived in tip top shape and very fast for SAL IMO and the shipping cost was bag on.

No worries with HLJ, they great!

Hey everybody,

Just thought I'd let you know I talked to Ryo at Robby.jp and they're taking orders for the Luke and Han 400% Stormtroopers.  Only $55 ea., or something like that.  Great deal.  Limited one each per customer and no guarantees if they'll even get them.  May want to check it out.

If I were you I would e-mail him personally.  He always responds when you do that.  I just told him I wanted them and he e-mailed the whole order.  He's a really nice guy.
