I had a big rant in this space that several of you may have already seen, but in the interest of not starting an "OMG INTARWEB LOL" war, I deleted it all.  Basically, the entire post could be summed up in one brief group of statements:

As Harry Tuttle told Sam in "Brazil," "We're all in it together, kid."  No collector is better than any other collector and we are all equals.  We need to worry more about helping each other as people and friends and fans and less time worrying about how others will perceive us if we don't have ROTS photos two months early.

I'm going to stop hugging the tree now.   8)

I think the situation is kind of ridiculous.  Why the hell are they offering to buy product from people who find it early?  I can understand wanting to get things early in order to offer the images to their readers.  Perhaps they're trying to make up for their half-assed Q&A efforts at Toy Fair?

Fact is that GH has pretty well scooped every other collecting site when it comes to new figure images.  I can say this with some degree of objectivity AND perspective since I've worked as a Star Wars collecting site reporter for the past 4 years or so.  This just looks like RS is trying to play catchup now.

I've never had this happen before...slow connection + impatience = Double post record.....

http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1063949&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=6&vc=1

I thought the problem was solved and there were no more double posts......

That's really embarassing, yet after a minute of looking at it, I laughed hysterically at my desk.

I'm Always talking about post padding like it's so fun, and I've been joking around about it for a long time, but now I'm afraid everyone's gonna take me seriously.

Oh crap...The admins are gonna fry me. :-[ :-\ :)

Rebelscum Spam Mail? WTF???
« Reply #1026 on: March 27, 2005, 10:37 PM »
Since when did I agree to be solicited for crap I don't give to ***** about?  Especially since my account was banned for any type of use 3 months ago.  I think someones head continues to balloon to more and more epic proportions.

I don't see anything in their privacy policy stating that I want to get Junk Mail from them.  Bastards >:(

I got a TRU Ad from Philip Wise himself, about midnight madness. Is that what you guys are complaining about? I too was annoyed at this.

If you are going to ban me (which I have no idea why I was banned BTW) have the decency of removing my e-mail address from your damned Spam Listings ::)

You know this doesn't suprise me.

It really doesn't, and it just hit me. Here is why:

They got some figures from Hasbro for 'free' to photograph and reveiw...nothing in life is free. I'm betting they shelled out some email adresses and they got around, or they are getting stuff in exchange for distributing spam.

Jesus.

Happy Easter every one. :P

"If you do not wish to receive it, you are encouraged to stop using it and notify me such so I may remove your accounts."

- what about those whose accounts you CLOSED/BANNED, yet you STILL spammed them.   ::)

Lame.

I just put my account on the line and asked him.

If he strikes me down now I will become more powerful than he could ever imagine.
