The first thing I did was reply to sender about that ad...

Thanks, but no thanks.   >:(

Jeff

I think we should all reply to sender again and again.  I think that its funny that some of the banned members are getting this email from him since you have no accounts over there.

I too thought this thing was in poor taste.

It certainly looks like everyone's trying to cash in for this last Star Wars flick, and I'll be glad when it's over and I can leave this nonsense behind. (Read my blog for more.)

I only use RS for the Area Reports forum, and think I'll just let him remove my account since I'm not going to let that ******* sell my email address to TRU. (I'm not sure, but I think that's the case here.)

As I mentioned in the rebelscum thread just now - I receieved this spam mail at my WORK email address, which is not the address I put into my rebelscum profile.

yeah not a cool thing, that's why I started the thread on scum in the first place. we'll see now if phil clears things up after my most recent post. and hopefully in a way that doesn't come off as belligerent.

Well, I wouldn't count on anything being handled in a manner that says "Hey, sorry, I was wrong", that's for sure.

I think many people here can be quite assured that no matter what you don't like about Rebelscum, the answer there is and always will be, "Well we can just cancel your account to this forum".  I've never seen anyone not give two ***** about other collector's opinions so much.

I think this whole matter is really quite sad, and nobody should be subjected to spam unwarranted.  It's basically been proven that Scum's being abusive of the emails they have, and I'm curious to see how this turns out.

I also love how people who seem to have a "need" of sucking up to the admin over there are quick to Rebelscum's defense too!  That's really classic...   ;D  First to run up and cup the administration's balls while they scold anyone who complains about the spam they got.  God forbid we ever voice a complaint against something they did...  OOOOooo  :)

I guess certain folks just need that forum, and to be in its good graces.

So others got that message too? I was wondering why a banned member like me was getting ads from TRU and Philip Wise. Lame.

But wait, doesn't Phil make $$$ off of those adds? Which is why all of the "news" items are plugs for stores? ::)

eh go figure, the reply he Phil made had the same old belligerent undertones to it. not even an attempt to say something like "hey, it is in our policy and we're sorry that it bothers you. the only way to get out of the list is cancel your account here, but we hope that you would consider staying and being part of our community. thank you"

instead he went off on a rant about pointing fingers at him, so sad....

**** this game. The only reason my presense is felt at Rebelscum is because their custom section has more active posters. I think I have posted a total of 4 times elsewere. He still wont unlock my signature editing feature, because of the petition against GNT I mentioned that took off. I stuck it, and a link here in my signature and he slapped the lock on it so quick it made my head spin. I think he also said he wanted an apology, wich he will NOT get from me.

First it will be one a year...then we will get another, and another. >:(

I cant wait till that reverse spam program comes out.

I certainly hope that he and I meet at C3 so I can give him a piece of my mind, and ask him a few questions. >:(

Kevin

At least he fessed up to getting money from them for it.

Its amazing that people still continue to support the biggest dickhole in the community.

Its easy people, stop posting there and he'll go away and his empire from which he is leeching thousands of dollars off of will also crumble.  TFN and Rebelscum are far from "Fan Friendly" its all business and always will be all business.  Its disgusting
