Jesus. Whatever you do, don't make me a staff member over here.  It's like the scarlet letter I guess. 

It sucks that half of the guys still around there from the days when I first registered have been banned now.....and that most of you didn't do anything.

I know one or two of you might have said something anti-Rebelscum over there (or over here), but what did Rob do?

I did not do ANYTHING other than be on the staff here at Jedi Defender.

You live in Dallas right?  Just help me convince all the Dallas folks to abandon that place and scoot on over to the store reports section of Jedi Defender - that alone should be enough to get you banned, although there's not really a blaze-of-glory associated with it...

Boy, very interesting development.  So now Philip/Dustin are selectively banning only certain JD staff members here, since KBZ's been let BACK in...  Most of the others never made a single peep over there (or here), so what's their reasoning with those bannings?  Quite odd.

So what the hell was the chain of thinking there?

"Rob's JD now, so ban him immediately."

"No, wait.  Rob's got over 10,000 posts here at RS.  Maybe we better keep him around..."

I was told that it was a mistake, and that I've been around too long to be banned for someone else's actions.  Which is fair (to me at least) - I'd like to see a similar offer extended to Jesse and a few of the others.

I actually live in Sherman (which is around 40 minutes up 75)... close enough for weekend excursions...

I want to really drive home a point though... hmm...

You know, if we all become 'honorary' staff I wonder how many of us would get banned....

Before you do, keep in mind that I'm not-banned all of the sudden, so if that was your last straw - you might want to wait for another one, if you were thinking about doing something regardless, then there you have it.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Philip and Dustin start doing some serious backpeddling now and unbanning others, after seeing all the backlash unfold against them around the net this week.

Just not me, as I'm apparently the "someone else" Dustin's referring to...

BTW, did anyone save a copy of Jason's spam complaint thread over at RS?  I see that got pulled (not surprising), and now I can't remember how badly I popped off on Philip in there.  Don't recall it being much worse than most people's responses though.  Just as fighting with Jimbo and Katmandu is pretty much completely commonplace around there for most RS'ers.  So it still basically boils down to the **** that I've said over here about them that's the reason for them being pissed off at me.  As always, lame.

Well, I'm glad to see that they unbanned you. And you're right, there are a few other people that should probably be extended the same courtesy.  I mean, quite a few of the others on that list have been around forever too....and most of them have never done anything to deserve being banned from RS either.

So, even though both Jesse and myself have a year on you, we weren't "around too long to be banned for someone else's actions."   

Of course, we don't have 10,000 posts and we also have a closer relationship with JD (and the offender) than you do Rob since you are a newer staff member.

The bigger factor is that they just realized how much **** they'd get for banning Rob from the rest of the RS members due to his popularity there, and decided it was far more worth it to be total hypocrites, than to suffer even more backlash in Philip's completely lame site war against us here at JD.  That's basically what Rob's sudden reinstatement boils down to.

I bet if Rob went quietly, he'd have not been let back in.  But the fact he mentioned his banning here, in Wuher's, and in their Dallas thread, Philip and Dustin quickly decided it'd be best to do a real quick 180 and quell the ensuing ****storm before it gained too much momentum (again)...

"Whoops.  We made a mistake!"  Ya' don't say.  Imagine that...
