Typically, when I bust open new figures, I leave them sit out so I can pick 'em up, play with them, study them, digest them before putting the in a display. The more I look at the Battle Droids, the more annoyed I get at them. I 'm totally at a loss as to why that sculpt was used and am convinced that it was the wrong choice.

its a nice sculpt. its good for ponting the gun with one hand, which many battled droids do. it also is a sturdier plastic. i cant wait to picks up some of these!

The Battle Droids in wave 8 are definitely an example of Hasbro making trade-offs.  They're made from a decent grade of plastic, so they seem to stand by well for now.  Only time is going to tell on that.

But these figures seriously lack articulation.  No head joint to speak of.  The elbows are locked in place.  The EPISODE I Battle Droid was much better articulated than these Kashyyyk Battle Droids.

As for the sculpt, meh.  I really prefer the POTJ Security Battle Droid sculpt to this, but this is what we got.

I went to KB yesterday and they put out about 10 cases of Star Wars, all wave 6 and 7. It would have been nice if they were wave 8.  :-\

I found a buttload of these again today.  Strangely neither of the Battledroids were present again ???  I counted about 8-10 of each clone which I thought was odd.
