Wow, Hasbro would love this if it goes forward. It would make us all complain about each others choices instead of griping about Hasbro's choices.

The problem is many of us on these boards have so many figures, that we each have a pretty narrow idea of what we would buy were it re-released. H & V and GB should be targeted primarily at those who are playing catch up. Keep some army builders in there, along with main characters that kids and grandmas will recognize.

I have some holes in my collection as well, but I don't think Hasbro rereleasing a bunch of 5- 8 year old figures is the answer. For every one that I want, 5 would come out that I wouldn't.

Wedge - Exclusive for $7 - because $15 is a ripoff and a half for that.  It is.

I don't know if he's even worth $7. To be honest, I think the next Wedge we should see should be a unique sculpt with chin strapped hemlet.

Here's what they could do for the final "Greatest Hits" wave, with six from the PT and six from the OT:

01.  Anakin Skywalker (2005 ROTS Evolutions version with Sith Eyes)
02.  Obi-Wan Kenobi (2005 ROTS Pilot with Mustafar deco and Baby Luke)
03.  Clone Trooper (2003 Clone Wars SA sculpt; plain white)
04.  Clone Trooper (2005 ROTS 41 sculpt in Coruscant Gray deco)
05.  Darth Maul (2005 TPM Evolutions with Cloth Cloak)
06.  Darth Sidious (1999 Episode I Holographic version)
07.  Stormtrooper (2004 VOTC)
08.  Boba Fett (2004 VOTC with TESB deco)
09.  Biker Scout (2006 VTSC)
10.  R2-D2 (2005 R4-G9 mold with no battle damage or weird accessories)
11.  Chewbacca (2005 Early Bird version with Hoth snow deco)
12.  Emperor's Royal Guard (2005 ROTS version with force pike)

This way, the figures that we as collectors (okay, me) wouldn't be interested in should they be rereleased as-is, would be changed just enough and for the better to get us (me) interested.   The only figures who would be straight reissues of the original figures would be the Stormtrooper, Biker Scout, AOTC Clone (all of whom would really need no deco changes) and the Holographic Sidious (which I maintain is still the best holographic figure Hasbro's ever done).

Oh I agree.  I think they should all be no more than $5.50 tops.  Unfortunately that is the cheapest at this point it seems.  Well sometimes the stores are nice and bring them down to $6 now.  Yippe  ::)

2007 H&V:

04. POTF2 DarkTrooper
08. POTF2 SpaceTrooper
10. E1 TC-14
11. E1 R2-B1
12. ROTS Cat Miin

MMK...not sure if you're aware of this but R2-B1 and TC-14 kind of sucked. Yea they're hard to find, but when you do get them, you'll realize they aren't anything special. Paint jobs weren't stellar and the molds have been updated, thus re-releasing those would probably end up in disaster...but at least you'd have the two hardest to find Episode 1 figures, right?

Cat Miin...? Cat Miin? Cat Miin?  ???

And finally, while both troopers were hard to find, they too would look pretty ******* ridiculous on the shelves nest to and SA Clone, Jedi Master, and SBD. POTF2 is pretty old now and it's time to move away from it. Those figures need and update, not a re-release.

If the next H and V assortment(s) are really put together by fans - without our "choices" being pre-selected by Hasbro - it could be a great thing.  I know we'd all like to get more VOTC Stormtroopers, and I personally always wanted more of VOTC Han, Fett, Chewie, etc.  We could pick a heck of a lineup I think, and hopefully this idea turns out as great as it could potentially be.  If we have to have repack assortments, having the ability to pick them would probably be the best case scenario for collectors.  I know the current HV/GB waves are really sitting around here.

Why don't the ROTS astromech droids fit into the Jedi Starfighter droid ports like they're supposed to?

It's utterly disgusting that you would even hint at that. I sincerely hope you were being facetious.
