I voted Droopy McCool. He;s still pretty exotic and if he had come out with the OTC wave, I'd have picked him up again. However, being short on cash and having other debts to pay besides starting up my collecting again this season, I don't think I'd be getting him again.

The omission of the EU wave is interesting, however, it looks like someone bitched it and put Kyle Katarn on the poll anyway, who is, not surprisingly, getting some votes. ::) Let's see how that one works out.

Opening this up to the tribe there is all I needed to hear to decide how badly this is going to turn out...  Get ready for Sio Bibble the Pegwarmer. :)

I'm not looking for genius or logic out of this at all I'm afraid...  Some good may come of it, but a lot of bad is bound to as well I believe.

Wow, I really want the Han Solo Gunner Station figure and Darth Vader from the SOTE pack.  Gimme a break.

And Hasbro hears you my good man.
Soon to be released: The SOTE Vader with new "lighter blue" highlights on his chest buttons and Time Life Operator Han with mild dandruff feature. To be packaged in conjunction with RS and include an exclusive "Dustin Prez Yo" button.

Rehashing the ship molds, I can tolerate to a degree. Rehashing molds of horribly outdated figures to be sold at 3-4 times their current value? Maybe if we add a comic.....

Hasbro should at least 3 separate waves of Greatest Hits like

Wave 1 - Prequels (Kids buy more than OT)

Darth Sidious - Holograph
R2-B1
Pit Droids
Clone Trooper - White
Darth Maul
Battle Droid
Commander Cody
Felucia Clone Troopers (Bly's Star Corps)
Yoda
Obi-Wan Kenobi - Pilot (EP3)

Wave 2 - Original Trilogy (Biggest fan base and simpest)

Stormtrooper (VOTC)
Boba Fett (VOTC)
Han Solo (VOTC)
Luke Skywalker - X-Wing Pilot (VTSC)
Princess Leia (VOTC)
Darth Vader (Evoultions)
C-3PO (Ewok Diety)
R2-D2
Chewbacca (Early Bird)
Lando Calrissian (VOTC)

Wave 3 MIXED

Shock Trooper (SA from Senate Battle pack)
Biker Scout (VTSC)
Aayla Secura (ROTS)
Han Solo (Trenchcoat)
Tarfful
Chewbacca (VOTC)
Leia (Boushh)

that my two cents

The entire POTF2 line should not be even allowed. When you click on the picture images it says enough.
There are a handful of EP1 figures that can still hang but just a few. If they are going to re-release figures they can at least improve the paint job, there is no reason not to. A figure from 1997 compared to now cannot hand in sculpt of deco. They will need something more.

Make re-release more worth while like:
OTC Spirit Obi Wan in Flesh color
Pit droid 3 Pack (Bonus ones new colors)
VOTC boba Fett in ESB colors
POTJ Bespin Guard with exsisting head swap
R2-B1 with new 3rd leg body
IG-88 molded in white

Its a new production run there is NO reason not to refresh them. I work at a Toy company transfer new deco files. You do not even need to have paint master done. A nice 5 veiw, you have interns hasbro use them wisley.

I decided to go back and look at what figures I had (or didn't have, as the case may be) that were both rare enough/demanded enough to be reissued AND were sculpted to the standards of today's figures (when they're being done well, I mean).  Not surprisingly, the list was pretty short:

-Everything in POTF2 was disallowed.  None of that stuff holds up today, period.

-From Episode I, the only figures that I could honestly say held up well and are extremely difficult to find were the Pit Droids.  And by "Pit Droids", I mean the ones released in the foreign two-packs which weren't released in America.  And by that I mean the ones that I'm too cheap to pay for on the secondary market. :)

-From POTJ, nothing really stuck out as being rare to me.  The only truly rare piece from the POTJ days was the MOTDS two pack, and both figures from that have been rereleased to the point of redundancy, and have also been subsequently surpassed in quality, sculpt- and articulation-wise.  Sorry POTJ, you're SOL.

-Saga 2002:  Ephant Mon.  That's it.  Everything else pretty much sucked.

-Saga 2003:  McQuarrie Stormtrooper, and we're getting that anyway.

-Clone Wars 2003:  SUPER ARTICULATED CLONE TROOPER...enough said.

-Saga 2004:  Again, absolutely nothing.  Okay, maybe the TIE Fighter Pilot if they don't intend on doing a Vintage line version.

-OTC 2004:  AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  We're voting on repacks from a line of repacks?  Oh Hasbro, what won't you resort to?

-VOTC 2004:  Stormtroopers, Stormtroopers, Stormtroopers, and more Stormtroopers.

-Post-OTC 2005:  Maybe the three Cantina guys, since people had trouble finding them in some areas and they *are* nice figures.

-ROTS:  Threepio.  I can't find him anywhere.   ;D

-ROTS (seriously):  A correctly painted Commander Bly.  Other than that, they've reissued the line to death at this point.

-Saga 2006:  Who's popular enough and hard to find enough to warrant being rereleased so soon?  Scorch?  Is that about it this year?  I'm sure we can do a precognitive thing and put Commander Appo on the list just to be safe, but out of all the 2006 figures, it seems like Scorch is the only one not seen on a fairly regular basis at retail, even after months of being released.

-VTSC 2006:  Biker Scout.  Duh.

So going by that list, here's the assortment that would work, IMO:

2 x 2003 Clone Wars SA Clone Trooper
2 x 2006 VTSC Biker Scout
3 x 2000 Episode I Foreign Pit Droids (three in each bubble, three colors)
3 x 2004 VOTC Stormtrooper
1 x 2005 ROTS Correctly Painted Commander Bly
1 x 2002 Saga Ephant Mon

Or, since Bly's probably already coming, crank that Stormtrooper up to 4 per case.  Seriously.

Well, they are claiming to be ::).  I think it boils down to suggestions. ****, we can have our own election poll and come up with figures.  Whether or not they get made is something else.
