Saw a bunch of these yesterday at Walmart. They are shipped with older Legends without the Rex sticker.

Ditto, just found 8 of 'em in Walmart in NY.

Are they packed/posed the same as the old RotS-sculpt one is?

Is there an easy way to tell it's the new sculpt vs. the old?  new bubble, new pose, etc?

I think easiest way to tell will be to look under the chin of the helmet. If you see skin it's the old one. Also, look for the chest/torso articulation - the new one has it.

That method requires me to actually pull them off the pegs AND look at them closely.

I was hoping for a lazier/easier way to tell it's the new version...  :-[

Sounded like there was no sticker...

They are shipped with older Legends without the Rex sticker.

I guess I'll actually have to "look" at them...  :-\

I thought the old one was posed to sort of show the ball/socket hips off a bit...  The new ones shouldn't have that ability, and should look pretty different in the leg portion even just thumbing through the pegs real quick.

They were all stickerless.  I doubt there are many of the old 501st hangin' around.  At least there weren't here.  All of the 501st here now are the new SA sculpt.

Just did a quick check, to me the biggest difference is in the helmet, and that's pretty much it:

NEW:

OLD:

Also if you look really carefully the AT-TE Tank Gunner mold has blue in the ankle joints, the SA mold has white.

Thanks.  I scoured the pegs at the closest Wal-Mart this AM and actually found a pair of the new v2 figures hanging on the pegs mixed in among the older style 501st.  :)

The way the hips are bent, that'll mean to be careful with your 501st's when you open 'em up...  They've stretched the hip socket peg, kind of like how Commander Neyo and his grunt had their hip peg stretched from their set too...  Not good for the toy. :(

Saw the new "Fan's Choice" Legends (Commander Neyo etc.) today at a collector show. Wasn't about to pick them up for $18 each though. They should be hitting stores soon.
I remember my dream now.

Yeah, they finally do the #41 fig for this legion and the legs will probably be irreparably wrenched.
