Thought I'd post a picture of my lovely Mom, Anita.....

You've got a very pretty Mom there Carrie...  How old is she?  (I won't tell her you told me  ;))

She's 55 years old, actually. I think she looks pretty incredible for her age. I hope that I look that good when I'm 55, that's for sure.

WOW!!! CC You and your mom are both easy on the eyes. ;)

I don't have a real life hero.  The best I can do is Spiderman. I can relate to him on many levels.

I have a couple.  Jimmy Buffett and Tucker Max.  Both live a lifestyle I would like to.  Doing what they love and not worrying about what they're "supposed" to do

CC, so sorry to hear about your mom.  But she sounds like a woman of great strength, so I'm sure both of you will be fine.  Best wishes.

This topic is so interesting to me because I realized in reading it I never really thought of myself as having heroes.  I don't know if that's good or bad.  I certainly did as a child.  George Lucas was one, simply because he made me want to make movies.  Astronauts.  The Challenger crew.

My grandfather is one of my heroes.  I think the biggest hero in my life now is my cousin Kim.  She's a bedrock of joy and passion for life despite all the things that would otherwise impede her.  She's a bright shining light in an often dark world and she makes me smile.  That's heroic.

My hero is Lance Armstrong. (pro cycling god) With people like him around there is no excuse for not giving something your best effort or saying "I can't".
