I am leaving for the airport in 45 minutes.

I've never been to New York....and I am a Native Texan...think I'll stick out?

As a midwesterner who has been there once (by myself, trying to get to a wedding) take it from me- it will be like nothing you have ever seen :o
If you are in the subways, look for piles of garbage on the platforms on the other side of the tracks, you'll see rats the size and shape of basketballs milling about. Call them womp-rats, even though they are a bit smaller than 2 meters.
And don't be surprised (or even react) if someone next to you starts screaming and yelling- it is most likely due to internal stimuli. I watched a woman in a burger king go off like ****** yelling and flailing about being next in line and getting passed up- 50 people didn't even flinch, and I was one of the only ones even watching.

Have a great time, looking forward to the pictures!

edit: the ******* was actually the word f-i-r-e-c-r-a-c-k-e-r  - too close for comfort?  ;)

I've lived in NYC for 20 years now. The trash and the crazies are just a teeny bit of the city experience.  There are somany great things about NY that I can't even begin to list them...You won't stick out. Most people in the city are from somewhere else.  Have fun!

First reports have started tricklin' in from Paul...

First, he's not dead.  Though his cowboy costume does stand out some.

Second...  Force Unleashed line was unveiled.  Guess the Hasbro folks had something new to show us afterall. :)

I'm excited about the Force Unleashed line, actually. If the offerings are ala 30AC, then it sounds as though it might have some decent Army Builders.

SSG has some initial pics...

Thoughts en brief;

Vehicles:
V-Wing looks awesome, I'll probably pick up three. Two for Republic purposes, one to make into an Imperial Training Vehicle.
The Sith Infiltrator's paint application looks sharp. Neat vehicle.

Basic Figures:
Overall, they look rather sharp. I'm a bit disappointed by Jedi Luke's oversized joints, but the headsculpt is fantastic. The Concept Figures have me the most excited. The Chewbacca especially ... I'll take 10!  :P

VOTC:
Stronger offerings than last year's, IMO. Hopefully pics of IG-88 and the Snowtrooper are forthcoming.

The Infiltrator looks really great... Undersized, but great. I might pick that up.

The ship looks WAY to small for my liking. But I was never looking forward to it anyways.
