Bums try to do that with yojoe.com's GI Joe images all the time, and it is funny that these sellers usually have good feedback, and just seem to be lazy and/or unable to take nice-looking pictures.  Lame.

Series 1 6 pk: $169.99.
Series 2 6 pk: $458.99.
Total: $628.98. With shipping: $752.98.

Do you think that profit could be made by buying all the carded figures together and re-selling them individually?  Does he think the value of these will appreciate much?  If not, I can't see why anyone would need 3 sets of the series 2 carded Kubs. . .but then, collectors are strange beasts sometimes.  Personally, I have irrationally, compulsively accumulated numerous wave 5 Captain America Minimates and 1985 GI Joe Flints (though those figures are just a tad cheaper than blastech's buys).

Definitely not buying them to keep a set in the black frame box, a set just separately carded & a set opened off the cards. He already bought series 2 for $149.98 & another for $128.00. Not sure what the game is but that sure is one hell of a large chunk of ching to spend on these bad boys.

We could contact him through ebay and just mention that we noticed his collection growing at an incredible pace- It would be something to see a picture of all of these purchases!

Yeah, that's the guy who bought from me. I can't help but think that he's setting up a store or something, although at the prices he's paying it's hard to believe he could make a profit.

Not really scams or fakes, but I thought that these were some pretty shotty customs IMHO:

Baron Fel

41st Elite

Carnor Jax

Also, this seller has a 2005 TRU box set up for sale at $130!  Seems a bit pricey to me:

The 60mm Sith Lord - All the hate and anger you've come to expect, now in a new conveniently sized package!

They're not terrible customs, but not worth $50 IMHO. And yeah, unless that TRU set has skyrocketed, that's a pretty high price. I got mine for $25 a couple of months ago.

Big Kubrick 7.5" figures?
« Reply #69 on: September 13, 2008, 02:55 AM »
So I was perusing eBay tonight just looking around and I stumbled across two listings that are supposedly for big headed 7.5" Kubrick figures. They are kind of cool looking but they don't really look like Kubricks. I had never seen nor heard of these before. Can anyone here confirm if these are actually Kubricks or is the auction just mislabeled?

As far as I'm aware they're not kubricks.

One thing I know for sure is that I hate them and want to vomit all over them  :P

These are not Kubricks, they are a knockoff hence bootleg. These are made of plastic & are pretty cool. I first found out about them back in 2005.

Can someone tell me WTF are these? Some kind of bootleg knockoff?

If I remember correctly, the vomit man helped me get these.  :-*

Though I'm no fan of KO Kubricks (trust me, I am no fan), to be fair, the quality on some of their 400%ers is nothing to write home about. . .and my Buzz Lightyear Kubrick arm snapped off when I tried to move it upward >:(
