OK, with Series 5 coming out it looks like I'm back to ordering another Master Case. I think the other 2 boxes will be spoken for and Matt Brand, are you in?  :)

Damn, I've been absent from this thread for a while!  Crazy to see Series 5 get announced (and shown) before Series 4 has even been released yet...  But fine by me!  Another stellar lineup, for sure.

Yoda - Wow, doesn't even look like a Kubrick.  Incredible.
Jedi Luke - Eh, kinda boring (but necessary).  Looks like just a black figure with little to no detail on it...
Slave Leia - 'Nuff said.
Ackbar - Brilliant.
Gunner - Very cool.
Red Snag - Nice, but I could go for him to be just a tad shorter.  I'll live though.

Chase pieces - The blue Snag is an absolute no-brainer, as a few have already said.  Boussh would be a solid choice, but my feeling on that one is that it's too "main" of a character to limit to a chase piece.  Holo Luke, like Mikey said, would make some sense too, and seems possible after the Obi-Wan treatment we already got.  Maybe even a Calamari Colonel as well...

Good stuff though.  Now I just have to go nab those 2 stupid Chases from the last series...  :-\

Scott / Jeff,

Great job on the article.  I really like how you guys focus on the postive of this line and do not get opinionated in your piece.

That's pretty easy, since I don't think there's been a single thing to ever gripe about when it comes to the Kubrick line, aside from maybe the $$$ carded Fett and Sandtrooper, and the odd inclusion of Bodonaweido in the Max Rebo boxset.  Other than that - pure perfection!  8)

That's it, I can't fight this anymore.  As of today, I'm officially collecting Kubricks.

This was my thought too after seeing this latest wave.  Unfortunately, I'm concerned that I'm just too far behind at this point to catch up...and I'm not sure I can afford to anyways.  I'm sure as heck figuring out if I can though :).  The last two series (4 and 5) have made it so much more difficult to stay away, and the overall nods to the vintage line just make the whole line so outstanding.  If there was an easier way to collect them (I just can't afford...or talk the Mrs. into...buying a whole case myself), I'd be all over them, that is for sure.  Either way, great news for everyone who can get them...these series look oustanding.  I like Scott's breakdown of what has been done from the vintage line, that just shows how Medicom knows what they are doing with these little buggers.  Great stuff.

Series 2 - Mos Eisley:
Set of 6 - $60.00

Series 3 - Ewoks and more:
Set of 6 - $48.88
Set of 7 - $62.88
Full box - $69.99

Enough to get you started... plenty of other good (cheap) things on eBay now.  ;)

Jeff

ps.
I too will be ordering Master Cases when the time comes for Series 4 and 5.  I think JV08 is the only interested party in pairing up so far, still room for one or two more folks (hint hint Brian :)).

I have a Master Case ordered as well but I'm thinking of dropping that in leiu of picking up a full set w/ chases like I did before.  That usually runs around $200-$220 instead of the $300 and hassle of selling sets

My top 10 wishlist...

Hammerhead
Walrus Man
Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot)
FX-7
Snowtrooper
Lobot
Biker Scout
Emperor's Royal Guard
Gamorrean Guard
Grand Moff Tarkin

I'm concerned that I'm just too far behind at this point to catch up.

I know how you feel!  At this point, I'll start with Series 4 and 5, then maybe work my way backwards to the other series.  Like Jeff posted, the common Kubricks seem to be somewhat affordable.

That might be the way to go, start with the newer series and work back later on.  At least I wouldn't be the only one ;).  Now to see if I can find the funds and talk the Mrs. into "another line" :P.

Bring it on, Scott!

At least I wouldn't be the only one ;).

I'll be there for you Brian.  (I feel like I'm at an AA meeting)   ;)

OK, figured out my top 10:

Hammerhead
Walrus Man
Snowtrooper
Biker Scout
Bib Fortuna
Emperor's Royal Guard
Gamorrean Guard
Rancor Keeper
Anakin Skywalker
Yak Face - naturally, it should be a Canadian release only.   :-*

If it was a top 13, I'd include FX-7, Ugnaught, and Tarkin.
