As pointed out, we have two versions of the biker scout in fairly short order, one a box "set" the other a regular release.

Is there any difference between the two?

Is it possible Medicom will start playing the "clean" & "battle-damaged" game when it comes to troopers?

Yeah, there is.  I'm sure one of the more erstwhile mods can dig up the comparison, but you boiled it down pretty much: dirty vs clean.  Plus I just don't think anyone out there is going to be upset at being able to get more snowtroopers.  Lots of folks won't open their box sets and would still probably like to have at least one snowtrooper loose.  If anyone was upset about it, I can't really imagine why they would be.  One week until we find out series 8 (maybe :P)

I'm with you.
If people are upset then they just should not collect these things.
Nothing Medicom does should surprise anyone.(Snowtrooper in the box set among others)
If you don't know how they function by now then you should drop out.

Broken record but...we were not meant to even have these things, they are meant for the Japanese market.
They love chase figures, exclusives etc.

You think Kubricks are bad?
I hear horror stories from American collectors about other Japnese stuff.

I also heard other stuff as well about GG Bust Ups that would make you scream.
I say shut up and be happy with what you get.

Well said. You're so right man. In fact, there are even some American toy lines that I hear collectors bitching about, in terms of availability of certain figures and the rarity of chases.

Basically, collect what makes you happy, not what gets you frustrated. Isn't the point of it all to have fun?

I agree, its about what makes you happy.
Just being able to get bricks makes me happy.
Love these things!

That being said, I still would not mind a few more Snowtroopers, but if it happens it happens, I ain't complaining!

Now bring on Series 8!

I just checked Medicom's site and there is nothing SW related. Though, I'm not sure if what I see is the new update. I wouldn't be suprised if ser 8 announcement wasn't for another month or two...

I'm a little surprised and nervous there wasn't an anouncement on series 8. It looks like we knew about the December release in June of last year, so January would have made sense...  :-\

Yeah, last year in January we learned about both Series 6 and the 400% Wicket.

Since there was no announcement in January, it makes me think there won't be anything SW related at the 2007 February Wonderfest...  :-\

Maybe next month...  :(
