Hey there, hi there, ho there!
« on: June 8, 2003, 09:54 AM »
Today is the day I found JD! Nice place you have here. ;)

I've only been collecting for a year now and it started to get ridiculous so I've put it on hold for a bit. I have all but 1 vintage fig loose up to ROTJ, almost all of Ep. 1 moc, 10 vintage Millenium Falcons (yes 10) and more or less any POTF2 and Saga figs that strike my fancy. Of course I have a bunch of other vintage ships and trinkets but too many to mention.

When I figure it out I'd like to post my collection photos (mildly outdated but good pictures).

My collecting goal is to get one of  EVERY R2-D2 package variation that ever came out as well as one of every loose one. As of June 07/03 I have 32 different package variations with no end in site. There are alot more then you might think. :-\

JD looks like a nice site and I'll be browsing around it for a long time to come. ;D

Welcome, indeed.

10 Vintage Falcons, huh? Well, I've got 1 vintage, 1 potf2, and about 5 micro-machines, so you've got me beat there.  :P

to JediDefender Chris. Nice to have you here.  :) Very nice to have another Canadian here. Our other resident Canuckleheads, Brent (Morgbug) & Scott (sp00ky) will be pleased to have you here.

If there is anything we can help you with, just ask.  ;)

I must say that is a lot of Falcons you have there. We look forward to your input on the forum & your pictures of your collection. Enjoy.

Welcome aboard, Chris # 1,000!

I've got 37 Jango Fett figures. 2 Packs, 4 Packs, carded, loose, Tri Logo, European, you name it! Ain't character collecting grand?

Anyway, enjoy yourself. Soon enough we'll have all of Snowtroopers.ca over here.  ;)

I saw you wrote about your Jango Fett collection and that is what got me interested in JD. ;D You have it easy though. You must be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. :)

My purpose behind collecting R2s is that he has been through all the movies and has the most figure variations of all time. If they were to have a "who was the all time #1 Star Wars character" pagent I'm betting my money on R2. ;)

But the important thing is we collect what we love and Jangos the father of the Clone Troopers (Storm Troopers in Ep.3 I presume). That makes him very important.

We might not ever have the biggest Star Wars collections but we will be the specialists in Jango and R2. 8)

Is there anyone else doing what Jango Fettish and I are? ???

Welcome to JD Chris!  How many Chris' do we now have here?  I'm Chris, the Admin here is Chris, and I know there's more of us out here.  Glad to have yet another familiar face here.  Hope you enjoy your stay here at JD.

I'm not a certain character collector like you and Jango Fettish, but one of these I will like to tackle that feat.  Just not sure who I want to focus onn when that time comes.

Yeah, I've always thought of Jango as kind of impotent too.  Oh wait, that's not what you wrote... ;)

Welcome fellow Canucklehead. ;D  Remember, Ewoks suck Bantha poodoo.

Welcome to JediDefender Chris!  Glad you've stumbled upon our cozy little corner of the collecting galaxy.  So would you prefer we look at you as the resident R2 afficionado, or as the resident Vintage Millenium Falcon super collector?!?   :P  (what does one do with 10 Vintage Falcons anyways?  :o)

I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, so check things out and feel free to drop any of the staff a line if you've got any comments, questions, or suggestions about anything here at JD.  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on everything Star Wars, R2, or otherwise on the boards here!

Thanks guys. :)

I received 8 of the Falcons in an ebay auction, 1 buy chance and the other after looking eveywhere for the perfect one. Of course I only needed one but the others were a good price. I've been finding the missing parts required to complete them and turned it into a hobby inside of a hobby. 8)

I need a few more R2s before "the resident R2 afficionado" can be applied. :)

Too late.

(Welcome aboard, Chris! Good luck with that Artoo collection.)
