How soon do you reckon after transformers is released that the bagging will start online?
There is no way on this earth they are getting my money for this piece of turd !!
The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

I can't believe the filmmakers thought people would think the old designs of the TFs wouldn't work in this movie, saying they would look corny, and created those as an alternative.

If it wasn't based on something as treasured as the Transformers then maybe... but with this... it is hard...

The 80's are long gone unfortunately so everybody quit yer bitchin.  It's too bad that they had to warp the designs/heads to such a vast extent on most of these characters, but I still have hope for this movie.  Not high hopes, but I'm just glad that this franchise is finally getting a live action flick.  I've stayed away from most of the storyline, but I thought the scene where Bumblebee helps Sam out with his girl problem was funny.  The BEEOTCH air freshener - classic.  I also read on the part where a dog pisses on Ironhide and he almost kills it - funny.

Now this is a poor design for a Transformer - can't even make it out, but I have to admit that it would scare the hell outta me if I saw this coming up from behind on the freeway.

Here's the third pic where Barricade tries to get fresh with Sam.

It's worth a rental.  Definitely not a must see movie like Spiderman 3.

I know the 80's are behind us, but were they so bad ?

I mean, it is hard to connect with characters that have no character... or look more scary than empathetic...

I don't know... If I did not have something to compare it too... It might be good...

I guess we will see.

Two words - kids.

They had to redo the look of the characters so they would appeal to today's generation of youngsters who can't pay attention to anything for more than five minutes.

They'd laugh at anything that looked like the uber cool Transformers we grew up with - you pretty much have to scare kids these days to get their attention.

As much as I love the old school G1 transformers, I gave the new designs some serious thought and it makes sense. If you look at the robot design of alot of the (origional) transformers they screamed "human" too much. The designs in the movie for their robot forms looks alien and that would make more sense as they literaly are aliens.

I agree. That scene where Starscream transformed almost single-handedly changed my mind about this film. I'm still going to see it, so they got me there.
