I have zero interest in seeing this -- but my 5 year old (nearly 6) is swept up in the mania and begging us to take him.  He can handle action movies if there's not foul language or gore  -- what's the word on this?  Thanks guys.

There's some violence towards humans, but nothing that is gory.  And there's a few swear words and a little discussion about masturbation.  If he saw Revenge of the Sith, he shouldn't have any problems with this.

Because of all the time Lucas spent actually masturbating to CGI in ROTS, or the violence?

"Happy time!"  ;D

I'm sorry, I know that part wasn't appropriate for kids, but that had me laughing.  Very remincant of "American Pie" back in the day!

TRACY, as for the rest of the movie, lots of action and transformer violence, but there are scenes that will fly over your kid's head.  Megan Fox is "eye candy", so her scenes are sugestive.  I've read that some images of the Decepticons are 'scary' for younger kids, but the movie is generally free of anything gory.

Particularly one scene where Megatron kills and how he does it...??

My wife and daughter had zero interest in the movie as well; well, initially.

My son and I won the battle to see it thankfully. The movie actually won the girls over though- they came out of movie really pleased and entertained.

Voted Soundwave though he'd have to be updated to a MP3 player... Shockwave would be cool, too. Heck, through them all in there.

Saw this earlier today.

Despite having little knowledge about TFs and only owning a couple toys, I enjoyed it very much.

I really enjoyed this movie, however I have never actually seen or cared about he TF TV show.  I was tooo old for it when it came out.  But I have a question...why are all the good robots autos?  Meanwhile the bad guys get to fly all over the place, and these guys have to drive form place to place?  Seems like a losing battle to me.

The other thing that I didn't get, is how did Bumblebee know that Shai had the glasses, when the evil guys only found out halfway through the movie by hacking US Govt. computers?

Glad you enjoyed the flick.  They at least mirrored some aspects of the G1 show as best they could.  The Autobots were all ground vehicles except for 2 which were hardly main characters and the Decpticons could all fly until the second/third season when the combiners/gestalts appeared.  Seemed kinda stupid, but hey - it worked somehow.

The other thing that I didn't get, is how did Bumblebee know that Shai had the glasses, when the evil guys only found out halfway through the movie by hacking US Govt. computers?

eBay  ::)  I know that BB was doing reconnaissance for the Autobots, but this never really got explained.  Plot hole, but no biggie.

The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

Good movie - just wish they hadn't killed off Prime at the end like that.

Just Kidding!  Haven't seen it yet, but hopefully going this weekend to finally check it out.  Sounds like mostly good reviews from what I've heard...

Pretty funny :)

Oh man... that was hilarious.

When your great, great grandfather found evil robot
Hugo Weaving in the arctic, he accidentally activated
him, which resulted in his location being imprinted on

location, I am referring to the location that Hugo would
later be transported to by your government.
