GH has some shots up of the "New Hope" wave of Galactic Heroes coming out later this year.  You can see both packaged and loose shots.  Even though I do open them, the packaging does look kind of spiffy for the two packs.  It also looks like the Chewie is a little different from the original version (this one has a different gun, as well as teeth showing), so it looks like all the "re-released" figures (Chewie, R2, and 3PO) are different in some way.  The Vader still looks the same to me though.

This is a line I really hope has some legs and can continue for awhile.  I've been torn on Kubricks since I already have some of these and they are somewhat "mini figures" themselves.  However, the Kubrick line does seem to be more popular, probably has more of a future, and gets a lot more discussion around here at JD :).  Anyways, you can check out the pics of the Galactic Heroes line here:

Cool beans, I ordered a set of these the day they went up for preorder at EE.  I will be giving these to the Padawan next year sometime, I think he'll dig 'em

:D, I was thinking the same thing Jeff.  Is this the same one that was released with the "Fast Through the Forest" set in the original Playskool line?  I'll have to check later on.  Really looking forward to seeing more of these on the shelves, I'm glad the line is continuing.

Just checked...looks like it is the same one...maybe it has some sort of spiffy packaging for the exclusive or something.

That'd be good news if it is the same figure in a baggie, then I could skip it.

If he's got some nifty package, I'll probably want one...

It's bloody identical ::)  Why would they do that?  Must have different packaging.

Methinks poor Matt will need a pack mule for all the requests he's getting :-* cough*12" Angel vampire*cough

Found the first 3 sets of the ANH wave:

Leia/Han - Bespin Han is great, as is lil Leia.  Very nice set.

Ben/Vader - Vader is great!  I love his stylized look of evil.  Hooded Ben looks cool too!

Luke/R2 - R2 seems a bit small for what you get, but I imagine the larger size of Vader and Chewie meant that something had to give.  Luke is pretty cool too.

Can't wait to get home from work and mingle them in with the rest of my GH to see how they look...

Congrats on the find Jeff!  You hit the jackpot today from the way it sounds (between these and the VOTC).  We don't have any K-Marts left in town, so we haven't seen either at retail around here, but I'm hoping they show up elsewhere soon.  I'm really into those Galactic Heroes line, and I'm really looking forward to getting them all (especially the Bespin Han).  I look forward to hearing your comments on them once you get them cracked open.  Nice score :).

Well,

I got a change to open these up...
and I think they match up pretty well with the older sets.

Vader is pretty much the same as the first, but the rest are all different.  I took a quick pic with my old Falcon Chewie and 3PO.

I like the third leg on R2, but it makes him a bit smaller than the first R2-D2.

I saw some of these at a couple of stops on the way home tonight.  They're cool.  I might even get some for my 3 year old nephew!
