I haven't seen waves 4, 5, or 6 at retail. At this rate, Wave 7 should be in my area this time next year.

Ditto, and I've only seen half of Wave 3.

Wave 7 already sprinkling in?  Unbelievable!  This is both good and bad!

This isn't exactly unforseen.  The waves have all been somewhat compressed due to the debacle with the coins.  And there's really only two months left to ship another three waves.  Unless of course they push back wave 8 (Attack Of The Clones).

Yeah, I'm not too surprised I guess - I suppose just overall, I'm shocked to see so many different waves popping up seemingly all at once.  I've seen Wave 6 more at retail than Wave 5.

Does anyone else want to go in on a THANK YOU letter to Hasbro for how easy they have made this year in collecting? And by THANK YOU I of course mean UP YOURS!!!!!

That's not very nice.

They have given us a lot of new figures this year that have surpassed my expectations.

What are you not happy with?

Yeah, I don't know if "Up Yours" is warranted, Nick, because we've gotten some nice figures this year. It's just the rush we've gotten the past few months that have made it tough on the pocketbook. The only complaint is that it feels Wv5 has gotten overlooked at the moment, but I think it'll pop up once some stock gets moved in the places like TRU (my bet) or Wally World (though Wv6 is hitting there)  :-\ .

Distribution is the only problem that I've seen this year.

Yeah, distribution has definitely been a problem.  I preordered all the waves this year thinking that I wouldn't have much time to go hunting (with a new baby), and I'm glad that I did.  I'll admit, its been hell on the checkbook the last couple months, but I should possibly have Wave 7 by the end of the week and I haven't seen much past parts of Wave 4 (Luke, Cantina Aliens) at retail (I did see a 4-LOM and Lando this weekend at Target though).  It is nice to not worry about it from that standpoint though.

I just saw parts of wave 6 for the first time this weekend.  I have yet to see wave 5 at all.  I really hope they start putting lots of the McQuarries in the revision cases.  I'm only caught up through Vader.

Despite my OT purist collecting tendencies (like no McQuarrie figs or SE/DVD figs such as Jabba's drummer and ghost Hayden), this year's waves still have me very excited.  I plan on 3-4 A-Wing pilots for my ROTJ rebel meeting dio (swapping a couple heads and having a mixture of helmeted, cloth-helmeted and helmetless versions), an R2 to complement the C-3PO in throne, and 2 to 3 sets of ewoks for customs.  That's only 3 characters from the wave but 7 or 8 figures to buy!

Got to crack open the R2 last night. The figure itself okay, it's just an early-bird repaint. This figure is really all about the accesories which are quite fun and make the package quite heavy.

The others look great in the package, I can't wait to get a second set of each so I can open them.
