I wish people paid as much attention to the G8 summit as they do Paris...  Sad, sad, sad...

I'm afraid that's not going to be the case.  They are now considering whether or not to charge the Sherriff with contempt of court for releasing her despite the Judge's orders that house arrest was not a sentencing option.

Quote
Parachini said Sauer reminded the Sheriff's Department of that when he learned Hilton was about to be released.

"He reiterated the terms of his sentencing order. He did not agree to the terms of release that the sheriff proposed," Parachini told the AP before Delgadillo asked that Hilton be returned to court.

But, Parachini said at the time, it is the sheriff and not the judge who decides when inmates are released from jail.

Delgadillo's office indicated that it would argue that the Sheriff's Department violated Sauer's May 4 sentencing order.

Take Paris completely out of this scenario, and we're now still left with an interesting case regarding the authority of the courts vs. the authority of law enforcement.  This is the kind of stuff that makes it to the Supreme Court.

Is the rash spreading?

Across the prison population, I mean.

If not, then what's the big deal?

Who cares?  Any cluster of people that I run into that is talking about this stupidity reminds me of a sewing circle.  Talking about this nonsense just seems to perpetuate this crap.

Wonder who it was that screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOO" at the press conference will it was announced she was going back in jail.  Can't belive there are people who act like this is so bad or act as if its  the death of Paris.  Liked the female reporter response to that guy, "Shut up".  Hopefully Paris doesn't like jail and this sets her straight (yeah right) before she kills someone.
