My contention is that if we had done that this year, about half the league was so miserable we'd have all given up.  Then you get teams dumping players or shady deals starting.  The more teams that have a chance at the playoffs, the more active and competetive the waiver wire becomes.

Jim finished 8th, but went 6-2 over the last 8 weeks.  That's not deserving?

If I win a 2nd straight Super Bowl, I'm fine with the rules the way they are.

If I lose, I'll keep demanding changes until I win again.

...So, things will be staying the way they are  :)

Well, it's fantasy football right?  In real football, teams put together big runs at the end and still don't make the playoffs with losing records.

I'm just sayin'

Only 'cause I'm going out of town on Wednesday, though I'm not going to Hawaii so I may still have a chance yet... :P

Willie Parker breaking his leg the other night sure didn't help my chances though. :-\

And I'm pretty sure Barber is riding the pine for most of the game.  I hope.

And Travis Henry can't run his way out of a wet paper bag at the moment.

Who the **** is Chris Redman?

Ha ha, love being beat down in a Super Bowl game by a handful of bench players.

Unless Steven Jackson, Marc Bulger, Anquan Boldin and Antonio Gates have some magic in store at 4:30 today, Ryan's champ for a year.

And here I was excited I wasn't going to have to face that 3-headed monster of Parker-Barber III-Henry in Ryan's backfield.

I'll need a Christmas miracle here to make up for Burress being benched last night.  Nobody on Earth thought he was playing, 2 TDs later I'm losing to ******* Chris Redman, QB extraordinaire of the Atlanta Falcons.

Okay.  Bulger to Steven Jackson twice should do the trick.

And Antonio Gates needs to get off his ******* ass and catch some passes this week.

Scratch that!

I'm dead.

Redman and Pierre Thomas, 2 season-long fantasy staples of the leader boards, have now combined for 37 points alone.

I've still got 4 left to play, but...

Congrats Ryan.  You got it.

Redman, that's the guy that I was talking about the other day who only had like 37 yards passing against the Bucs a few weeks back.

The guy flat out sucks - and it took balls (or complete desperation) to start him in a championship game.

Look at it this way Dressel.  If I'd advanced, which I did not, it would have been my team routing yours - which probably would have made it worse.

That said - huge congrats to the Airmen, it sure looks like it's over at this point.  Bravo!

Woohoo! The waiver wire was my savior this week. :)

Nicely played Dressel, and everybody else. It was a very fun season.

I sure had to dig deep this week. I knew Garrard wouldn't be playing and Campbell was hurt \, so I had to find a QB. Despite an absolutely awful game in Tampa, Redman had decent stats three out of the last four weeks. Nothing to get really excited about or anything but I figured he might be able to pull in 250 yds 2 TDs and an INT. I gambled quite a bit there but it paid off. Same with Pierre thomas. He had a good game last week and with my RBs either hurt or watching from the sideline this week I needed something. Payton said he would get his share of touches even if the other guy (I'm spacing his name at the moment)  started. Larry sure had a nice game for me too. I guess I got lucky everyone else did good, because Sproles didn't do ****, I was going to go with Roddy White but changed it at the last minute.

(Redman's Stats over the last 4 weeks)

I'm looking forward to defending the title next year.  :)

Congratulations Ryan, well played right to the end.  Good stuff.

Congrats again to Scott for winning Survival Football.

Congrats to Mikey for winning Salary Cap; that homer pick right from the start paid off.

Congrats to Scott for the first place finish (tie) in Pro football pick 'em too.  Nice year Scott.
