Baby coos are definite simple pleasures....there is almost nothing that melts the heart then those gummy grins and gurglely squeals of delight coming from a 2 month old

Smoking Monkeys (of course)...  See the other thread.
70-77 degrees and 0% humidity days...  OOOOOoooooo
Sitting on a bar's outside deck and having beers with friends...
Star Trek:TNG Re-runs every night...

A few things I guess...

4 hours of Star Trek on Friday nights. What social life? ;)
A girlfriend I can trust is cool too.
Morrissey's and Sonic Youth's new albums. Been on nonstop rotation.
Watching a tool in a Miata who cut me off spin into a ditch and smack a guardrail. That was oddly comforting.

(Good Riddance)Time of your life-Greenday.

That song has comforted me for the past week and a half, knowing I would graduate, and leave school all behind.

It reminds me of my friends, and it hits the spot.

A well made SW action figure...  *Sigh*  A rare, and simple pleasure.  :)

Finding a $5 bill on the ground on your way into work,
no one else around, just staring up at you in the parking lot!

It's like the universe just gave you a free SW action figure... or maybe a beer or two at the bar.

Here's a simple, yet infrequent, pleasure:

I went into an electronics store the other day, in my continued search for a nice 19" monitor.  I had narrowed it down to a particular Sony model, but just as I was about to purchase it, a new Sony monitor hit the market, with some slightly better technology (Xbrite), though some slightly less specs in other areas.  So I just wanted to pick some folks brains in the Computer sections at Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, and Frye's.  Of everyone I spoke to, nobody knew jack **** about those monitors, or monitors in general.  I had to correct them all, since they were talkin' outta their asses.

But then - my simple pleasure - an electronics employee who ACTUALLY KNEW stuff, was informative, helpful, etc.  Nearly blew my mind, and made the whole process so much easier, since I could really tell this guy knew his **** (even moreso than my comprehensive research on the matter), and really felt strongly about one monitor over the other, essentially helping me to make my decision since he seemed so knowledgeabel, sincere, and honest.

Refreshing.

Wish there were a lot more employees like that out there!   8)

Here's a new one...

Restaurants that serve bottomless fries.  Sure, it's probably horrible for my arteries, but every time I go to Red Robin I always have to go for the FREE refill on my steak fries.

Mmmm... free french fries.   :)

Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone

Google it and you shall learn why.

I could listen to that song for hours upon end and not hate it at all. It fills me with bliss.

Going out and having a good time with my boys. Since we have to work Saturday, we're heading to our favorite pub afterwards, and that's always a good way to kill a Saturday afternoon.

Beer, cigarettes, ribs, and Jack Daniels. Always a good time.

Plus the company softball team starts up in a couple months, and I'm on it.  :) It probably means I'll have to cut down on the smoking, but at least the drinking is still there.  ;D

My simple pleasure - a slurpee.  3/4 Coke, 1/4 Mountain Dew in a Gulp cup.  Simple as that.   :D

How's that monitor search coming?  :-*
