Oh, you lucky bastard, Daniel!!  Man, that's a beautiful set.  Most envious I am...  I assume we're not allowed to ask how much it set you back, right?  :-X

I was at CIV and tried to get into a couple panels, but folks weren't coming out of them when they let out each time, so even if you were near the front of the line for the next panel, you still weren't even guaranteed to get a spot in the 300 seat room.  I was pretty bummed, so I just threw in the towel on even bothering to try to get any of those medallions.  My only real regret for the convention.

Great addition to your collection though, for sure.  Congrats!

(p.s.  LMK if you ever wanna sell the set for cheap!  ;))

Very nice Daniel, congrats on getting a complete set. Looks very nice in that display case.  8)

I managed to get 2 medallions thus far, Sand People & 3PO. I may land up getting those single display cases for them.

Now to get a hand on those Celebration Europe medallions.  ;)  :-X

Well if it wasn't for the Vader medallion, it would have been way below what the full sets are going for. The Vader was around 100.00. The rest were not as bad as i thought they would be becuase most had free shipping so that cut out some price. I think the low i paid was 32.00 for one. With out doing the actual calculations i would say around 500.00 - 550.00. It is a cool set, and with that said i am staying away from the celebration europe ones. I can't afford to do this again.

What a sweet looking set.  I'm very jealous!  ~$100 for the Vader coin, eh?  Damn, that's the one I'd want the most.

Most impressive.  I doubt that was an easy score.
This is the way.

I was over at Shane's Friday night & I had the pleasure of seeing & holding the Gold medallion set. This set is way better than the pewter set as the gold color highlights them way better.

From the archive, Celebration IV Associate Gold Medallion Set

On the archive are pics of the mold, pattern & test samples. Just amazing seeing the pics on how these were made.  8)

I can't wait to get my CE medallion set.  ;D

The gold set looks cool, but i am happy enough with mine not to be upset. I am however getting the itch to try for the celebration europe ones. Whats wrong with me!  ???

I just finished my set of medallions (final one is in the mail now) and am psyched to get a case for them.  I managed to pick up 6 at the convention and the others through some good deals.

The pre-production pieces that they have on the archive are cool.  I'm pretty sure someone had some of the pre-produciton pieces at CIV, I think I saw them during the collector's social hour but didn't get a close look.

As cool as the CE medallions look I don't think I'll try for a set of those.  I have a feeling they may be much more expensive than the US versions were but, cost aside, I don't have the nostalgia for the foreign pieces as I do for the US set and that was part of what made them interesting to me.

The CIV sets were going around a Grand before and during the con and have dropped to $800 or less now.  I'd hold out, I don't think they'll stay that high but I think they will be somewhat higher than the US versions just because they'll be selling them in Pounds or Euros and the exchange rate sucks right now.

My Luke medallion came yesterday along with a bonus piece, an R2-D2 test medallion.  Here's a photo of the set and the R2:

Time to order up a display case for them now.
