I found 2 Reb2 sets out tonight at WM and scarfed them up and ran off like a moron.

I'm so ecstatic to have this set though.  It's perfection to me. :)  Love that Farlander figure too...  Too cool.  And I'm now actually seeing Imp sets too.  I may nab another one here if there's some around to the end of the month.

What stores actually are carrying Evolutions have the shelves clogged with Jedi/Force Unleashed sets,

Haven't seen the re-released force unleashed set yet, but one of my TRU's is clogged with the Jedi set.

I am yet to see the Rebel Pilots II set, but the Imperial Pilots set is almost a shelfwarmer around here. I haven't picked it up yet because other than the ROTS guy, the set really doesn't interest me at all.

Same here, except I would only be interested in the EU Biggs.

(Okay, anybody want the AOTC Pilot so we can divvy this set up?)

I have passed on the Rebel Pilots I set everytime, just because I really don't like the looks of that ugly Ten Nunb...he's way too tall, his head always seems to be painted horribly, and of course he is in the wrong color flight suit. I wouldn't mind the Dorovio Bold figure, and I actively want the Wes Janson figure, but I'm having trouble justifying the 20 bucks for one-and-a-half figures.

If you're serious, I'd be in for the AOTC Pilot, as it's the only figure from the set that I want another one of.  Just PM me. :)

Guys, please PM me if that means there's an extra ROTS Pilot up for grabs. :)

Thanks,

Imp Pilots v2 is not a rumor, it was confirmed for Spring 2009...

Sounds like the V-Wing Pilot is coming in 2009 in a second Imperial Pilots pack according to the latest Yak Q&A.

For those too lazy to follow the link to read the whole thing, here is the Hasbro Q&A quote:

"We did not have reference for a V-Wing pilot to do this set, but there will be a V-Wing pilot coming in Spring 2009 in a second Evolution pilots pack. Stay tuned!"

Looks like the gang at Yakface was able to get an update on the Imp Pilot v2 pack:

"The three pilots are a "V-Wing" repaint of the Clone Wars-era pilot, a black version of the EpIII pilot, and a generic version of the TIE using the Biggs TIE body but with a new closed helmet."

Very glad to hear that we're getting a regular SA Imperial TIE pilot in this set and not another Rebel with an open-face helmet.  Not so glad to hear that we're getting another "shadow" pilot... I would have prefered seeing that sculpt with a new deco (501st, Shock, etc).

I'm kinda curious what a "Clone Wars Era V-Wing" Pilot is...

It's either Hasbro speak for a kitbash/repaint/EU/BS figure or it's the question answerer confusing the V-wing Pilot with the Clone Wars V-19 pilot.  ::)

Yeah, Nick's pic was what I was expecting, but I'm thinking this isn't going to be that nice right now.  :-\

Agreed on the TIE Pilot...  And honestly I'll be ok with whatever else we get, but the TIE Pilot will certainly encourage a couple purchases of this set for me as well.

Finally got to crack open the one Rebel Pilots II set I found, and I agree it's stellar!  I'm going to need 2-3 more for the B-Wingers and Hoth pilot variations.  Speaking of which, I love the fact that Ommis has some differences in paint like his boots, gloves, hoses, and vest.  There was a good bit of variation in the briefing scene outfits, and these figures reflect that!  I don't need the Twi' Lek pilot's head and helmet that I have, so if you're interested, shoot me a PM.
