I'm interested in seeing how the Shaq thing works out for the Suns as well, we'll see.  It sounds like Kidd is set to make his debut for the Mavs as well.  Although I understand the "hoopla" over it, I'm not sure it really improves their chances making it out of the West that much.  I guess, before last night, I didn't even realize that Mike Bibby had gotten traded to the Hawks.  I guess with all the All-Star and Kidd headlines, that was kind of below the radar.  It will be interesting to see if there are any more big names traded before Thursday's deadline.

On the All-Star game, I don't remember for sure but I think its been on TNT for at least the past three seasons, but maybe longer than that.  It is kind of sad that it isn't on "free" TV anymore, as I think all of the other major sports All-Star games are, but I guess they figure that pretty much everyone has at least basic cable at this point (which isn't always true).

We don't have TNT, we get a TBS feed instead on our cable, so I couldn't watch either.  Went looking and didn't find it.  At least the dunk contest was on ESPN.  I really don't like watching NBA anymore at all, but at least the All Star game is supposed to be show and rules don't apply.  Gimme college any day.

I'm interested in seeing how the Shaq thing works out for the Suns as well, we'll see.

I picked them to win it all last year, and the team that (cheated) and eliminated them in the semis wound up winning instead.

In the long run, I think losing Marion was very bad.  But for this year, Shaq could put them over the hump and I'm going to pick the Suns to win again this year (assuming health of course)

PG Nash
SG Bell
C  Diesel
PF Amare
SF Hill

That's the best, most well-rounded attack in the NBA.  We'll see how this plays out, but I've got the Suns as champs.

i haven't heard many suns as champs predictions this year.  actually the big 3 SA, Dallas and Phoenix don't even seem to be the favorites.   you would have to be stupid to ignore them, but i guess its just more exciting to talk about LA and NO.

Shaq looks like he did back in the Magic days, he hasn't looked that good in years.

Oh, I wouldn't go that far, but he did look really good.  I'm glad to see that he gave that kind of effort earlier this year when he was healthy enough to be on the court with Miami.
That's the one thing that has ALWAYS rubbed me the wrong way with Shaq.  His level of effort is laughable.  He only gives his all when he's called on it and he feels that he has something to prove.

He looked even better yesterday with seven points and 1 for 8 from the FT line.

Without Shaq, the team would've lost by 32 instead of 30.

I was alluding to his physical appearance.

Oh ... OK.  Gotcha.  In that case, yes.  He looks to be in pretty decent shape.

Man, that's going to ruin their playoff chances.

Their playoff chances were about as likely as the Knicks'.
