And now, two big losses in a row (to Boston and New Orleans).  On a side note, the Celtics are playing great, sweeping the Texas trip of Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio (and going 6-0 against them for the season).  I hope this is their year, I'd really like to see Garnett get a ring.

i kinda hope not.  i hate it when a team buys a ring instead of developing a team.  i also hate it when players jump ship instead of trying to make your team better.

I see your point about buying a ring, but to be fair about "jumping ship", I think that Garnett has tried to do the best he could with what he's had alongside him in Minnesota in his career.  Plus, he seemed to always do it and just keep quiet - never "demanding a trade", when he could have done that a number of times.

i will agree that he tried in Minnesota.  but, i hate it when players like payton and malone and barkley start jumping around at the end of their careers to try to get a ring instead of sticking with the teams and fans that cheered for them for all the years whether they won it all or not.

So....anyone else think sitting your starters for three weeks at the end of the season is a good idea?  Hello, Celtics, yer lucky.

No love for the NBA?  Detroit and New Orleans out to 2-0 leads?  Can New Orleans win it in their first real go at the playoffs?  I doubt it, but I wouldn't be opposed to seeeing it.

And no, I don't think Boston is going to beat Cleveland.

After going seven games against the Hawks, I have little faith in the Celtics as well.  But yeah, I'm shocked that NO is up 2-0 against the Spurs and I have no idea who the Pistions are playing right now...

I am more interested in the RB situation in Chicago.

I've been watching as much of the playoffs as I can, the Celtics in particular.  I wasn't enjoying the struggles against Atlanta, but I'm really holding out hope that they can turn things around from here on out.  Its been nice seeing New Orleans continue to play well, even against San Antonio.  I'm not necessarily a Hornets fan, but they are pretty fun to watch.  I'm starting to get concerned that no one can beat the Lakers though, they look pretty tough.  It sounds like Kobe will be winning the MVP award, if reports hold true.

So happy to see the Celtics win a hard fought game yesterday.  They can quit with the Game 7's anytime though, I don't need the stress :P.  Hopefully they will play well against Detroit.  On the West side, I'm hoping that New Orleans can pull it off - I've seen enough of the Spurs for the past few years.
