Prayers for my wife and I
« on: November 14, 2007, 03:39 PM »
It's odd how quickly life can change. I have been so excited the past 4 months that my wife was going to give birth to our first child in May. We went to the doctor on Monday for a checkup and sonogram. The sonogram showed the heartbeat we had seen in the previous two was no longer there. So this morning my wife had surgery and thankfully is resting now after the two of us have been pretty much sleepless since Monday morning.

For those of you that pray, please do so. We were so excited and thought we were out of the "dark" time of pregnancy only to have this happen. Only those who have had this happen or have kids can understand how truly devastated we are.  Sadly the next time she gets pregnant, we are going to have a constant fear hanging over us.

Chris --

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby.  I can only imagine what you and your wife are going through.  Please know my thoughts and prayers are with both of you.

I'm really sorry to hear that Chris.  :'(

I remember how hard that can be. My mom had two miscarrages, one before I was born and another between my brother and sister. I was still pretty young at the time so I didn't completely understand what happened other than my mom and dad were very sad. I'm hoping for the best for you and the wife.

Chris,

Just wanted to add my condolences to you and your wife.  I'm sure words offer little comfort at a time like this, but we will definitely add your family to our prayers.  My wife and I struggled for a long time to have children and now that we do, I can't imagine what life would be like without them.  Just know that one way or another, you will find a way to bring children into your home and take comfort in the fact that you still have each other.  Best wishes and hope for the future!
