I don't think that any US or Canadian collectors need to worry about that European price.  It looks more like Hasbro is trying to bolster profits from the international sales.  And having spoken with friends who are collectors that lived in Europe, Hasbro product is considerably more expensive in EU countries.

Agreed - the other sku prices listed (for products we are familiar with) are completely out of line.

Falcon's size sounds interesting, but I'm not expecting to be "in" on that one.  Nice if it's true though for the people who want something sizeable and more impressive for their collections.  The vintage mold is just as its name suggests.

Maybe me and some buddies will fill an 18 wheeler with big new Falcons and drive up to Cananda and sell them for a better price.  Just like Smokey and the Bandit, but without the beer!

With the AT-TE, I'm not shocked at this news.

Neither am I - I wouldn't be surprised to see it for at least another year as well - perhaps 2010 when it's the 30th anniversary of ESB.

Next year will be the 10th anniversary of TPM - I could see them trotting out the Queen's Starship as an exclusive to someone next year - which wouldn't be a bad thing since it really is a great toy.

I'm pretty glad it's not coming out this year. 2008's gonna be expensive enough as it is.  :P

Agreed.

I'm already committed to:
3 AT-TEs (maybe 5)
3 AT-APs
3-4 Homing Spider droids
1 General Greivous Starfighter

Expensive enough.

So I'm happy for the wait on the falcon. Besides, it gives Hasbro more time to do this one right!

Good, now I can concentrate on the AT-TE, Homing Beacon Spider Droid, V-19, and Indiana Jones stuff.
