AL East - Red Sox
AL Central - Tigers
AL West - Mariners
AL WC - Yankees

NL East - Mets
NL Central - Cubs
NL West - D'backs
NL WC - Phillies

ALCS - Red Sox over Tigers
NLCS - Mets over Cubs

WS - Red Sox over Mets (I'll say in four games so everyone gets free furniture.  Last year they only had to win it.  I hear Jordan's insurance company was pissed so they made it more difficult this year). :-*

I went back and forth between the Tigers and Indians to win the Central.  Even with the Tigers' suspect relief pitching, I still think they're stronger than the Indians all around.  I also debated on having the wild card come from the Central and not the East, as has been mostly the case in recent years.  It seems every year we hear talk that the WC won't come from the East, but it seems to always happen.

The NL WC I was less sure of - the Braves, Brewers and the other teams in the West not named the Giants could also win it and I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm just glad baseball is back (and being played in North America).

I love when people don't pick the Yankees to even make the playoffs.

Don't hold your breath on that one.

I know, right?  It's almost as silly as picking the Yanks to win it all, year in, and year out, no matter how much better the other teams are.

Anyway, here are my picks:

AL East:  Baltimore
AL Central: Kansas City
AL West:  Texas
AL Wild Card: Tampa Bay

NL East: Washington
NL Central: Pittsburgh
NL West: San Francisco
NL Wild Card:  Florida

ALCS: Tampa Bay over Texas in six
NLCS: Pittsburgh over San Francisco in five

World Series:  Tampa Bay over Pittsburgh in seven

Gonna be a crazy year!

And looks like Mark Buehrle of the White Sox wants his ERA to match Rex Grossman's lifetime quarteback rating...  37.80 ERA?! :o

A few more outings like that, and I'll be convinced his dominance with the Dodgers was steroid or HGH induced.

Not this year, not unless they win the Series.

NL Central's gonna be incredibly competitive this year.  Bank on it.
