I wonder what the scale is on that?  It's next to, I think, an AT-AP...  Hmmm...  Not sure on that one yet myself.  I'd like to hope it's to-scale but that's too tough to call on that one picture.

Vehicles should NOT be in the animated style...  It was something mentioned to us earlier, but it appears to be holding up pretty well that they want the vehicles to appeal to as many as possible I'd think, due to the increases in costs, and I think they're taking a bit of a risk with the figure styles and their pricing, but that's me.

I'll be down for one of these. My AT-TE will need something to fight. I"m glad this one is fiannly getting made, I've been wanting one since AOTC first came out. This looks to be a nice pairing against the At-AP. Now we just need a decent battledroid to run along side the nice vehicles/big droids.

Oh that's freaking sweet.

Looks like it's about half size, but that's understandable since a correctly scaled one would be like three feet tall.

I dunno Nathan, look at the comparison here...

I think it's maybe short, but overall not "underscaled".  It's hard to say beyond that...  Look how close a SBD comes to the ball portion though, and compare the ball portion to a SBD (something we can use as a point of reference).  The ball portion on the toy looks accurate...  The width of the legs looks like it too might be accurate, it's the height of the legs I find curious and maybe "off" in the scale department...

Tough to tell though of course.  A SBD comes real close to that bottom laser though from the looks of the photo you supplied...

OK, here's something interesting...  Look at the joint connecting the legs to the ball/body...  It's compressed a bit on the toy, but expanded a bit on the film CGI shot there...  I wonder, if you can "expand" that a bit, would it look more like it's to-scale?  Very interesting...  As with everything like this, if it's not right I just don't buy it, but that one's pretty close if it isn't.  I wouldn't say it's half, it's way more than that just eyeballing it...

Very strange stuff.

Well, I'm using a "normal-sized" person as a yardstick against the legs. In the toy pic above, it takes about three times the length of a figure to get to the top of a leg. In the movie screenshot, it takes almost three just to get to the sliding "knee" joint, and at least one more on top of that. It definitely isn't easy to tell for sure though.

FWIW, the droid is listed at 7.32 meters which would be 24 feet. Which would be between four and five action figures tall if you reckon each one is a bit under six feet.

The measurement you gave, for it to be dead-on 1:18 scale, would need to be 16 inches tall on the droid...

That pic you just posted sort of changes the angles, so yeah, eyeballing it from that angle looks way different.  Now I just don't know...

16 inches is a basic figure on top of a 12" figure or so (obviously), which doesn't look terribly tall to me, but that doesn't look 16" to me in the picture there for sure.  Hmm...  Not sure, and really still up in the air if I'm even buying.  I could save a ton this year the way things are going though, hah.
