See, I hate how they changed Brody for Crusade from where he was at in Raiders.  He turned in to a buffoon.

I loved the character... showed true personality... I think the comedy was needed.

He might very well have displayed some of the same comedy in Raiders too, had he actually seen some action.

Nah.  He was a cool cat in Raiders, and in Raiders, all the humor was situational.  Whereas in Last Crusade, the humor felt much more forced, and Brody was a clown.

Yeah, in Raiders Marcus says something like "I'd go after it myself, if I were younger."  Doesn't seem like talk from a guy who gets lost in his own museum...on the other hand, my Grandfather was kind of a badass most of his life (he jumped from a motorcycle onto a car chasing a girl...he then spent 6 months in the hospital..he built houses, boats, had a canon...) anyway, he changed very quickly into an old man about the time he hit 65, and puttered around and could'nt find his way across town...

I dont think they changed the character all that much. It seems all the reference comes from that one line. In TLC he still seems to know what he is doing when Indy gives him the cross and when they are reviewing the map in the grail diary. He may be all talk about wanting to go if he were younger. Maybe TLC was his first actual field expedition. Just a thought.  ;D

Brody wasn't a buffoon in the U.S. just everywhere else. Maybe he gets homesick. :P

I don't see how Toht would controversial he doesn't have any swastikas on him. He's a bald guy in a cloak.

For me, the order of Indy movies is RotLA, then TLC in a very close second, and finally ToD. I disliked ToD mainly because of Willie's constant shrieking. I also liked the Brody stuff, it's pure character development. We never saw him do anything but talk in Raiders, so for all we know he's one of those guys who can't back up what he says.

As for the figures... I like the list for the first wave. Really looking forward to the Jones Sr. figure, for obvious reasons. I'm looking forward to seeing the Elsa figure too, as I find her to be the most interesting of all the Indy girls... not sure why. I know I'm in the minority, but I'd like to see Donnovan and Brody get made. Hell, they can't sell any worse than some of the crap Hasbro has forced on us over the years in the Star Wars line.

Also, anyone else hoping we get a Michael Sheard as Hitler figure? I know there's absolutely 0% chance of getting one but it'd be cool to get as an online exclusive or something (that way it won't be in stores, collectors will be happy, etc.)

I would love one and have been suggesting it since my first Indy wishlist years ago. Some type of exclusive or mail away wou

This wave is now confirmed via the new Indiana Jones store:

Indiana Jones Action Figure Case - Wave 3 Round 1

Quote
*  1x Indiana Jones (Temple of Doom)
    * 1x Indiana Jones #1 (Crystal Skull)
    * 3x Indiana Jones (Last Crusade)
    * 1x Henry Jones
    * 1x Elsa
    * 2x Young Indy (Last Crusade)
    * 2x Grail Knight
    * 1x Vogel

I believe the "Temple of Doom" Indy is just the jacketed Indy with the fertility idol from the Raiders wave.

That's cool that they're actually making the Grail Knight. They've chosen wisely. I'm also glad to see Vogel out before Donovan, he's the second best villain in the trilogy after Toht IMO. :)

I hope we're getting Marcus later, though.

That's great news and I like that wave quite a bit.  I might leave Young Indy behind though.

Yup.

I think Hitler could be a CC exclusive inventionally, maybe in a comedic packaging display with Indy beating the sh*t out of him.  :P
