Okay, with the Wookies being different from previous ones, I might be good for one opener purchase.

When I saw pics of this I thought what a waste but when I actually got my hands on it I was impressed. The two fat wookies together really looks cool. And to have them battling Stormtroopers instead of Clone Troopers tops it off.

Can you really picture Vader actually walking around a jungle/forest though?  That part just seems kinda silly.

Somewhere there's a really cool concept art of Vader leading troops into battle from TFU... I don't think it's too far-fetched to see a younger Vader on the front lines.  But, I do see your point.

He trotted through the snow on Hoth...  Maybe this was an assault to see who let Yoda loose?

^Ditto Chewie and Jesse. That aspect is the least of my problems with the set.

My problem with this set is that Hasbro has never gotten the helmet of the stormtrooper anything close to good.  Yeah, some of them from certain angles look okay, sometimes.  But the VOTC helmet is not very good.

Hasbro, this is what a stormtrooper helmet looks like:

This is what it doesn't look like:

Fix the ******* thing.

It's a problem for a carded/boxed collector.  Dare I say it looks like a kiddy pack?  Just my opinion, but I'm passing on this set only because of the Vader included in it - plus I already own 162 other Vaders.   :)

Ah, I open everything.  Somehow I only have 161 Vaders.   :P

I'm not sure what carded-vs-opening has to do with the price of tea in China ... I was discussing the in-universe storytelling aspect (Vader personally leading troops through the jungle) more than the toy itself.

I do see what you mean insofar as the opener can remove Vader from the jungle setting packaging to use in other scene setups, but that sort of nullifies the point I was getting at, which is that Vader (particularly this younger iteration) has shown on other occasions that he doesn't have a problem getting down in the trenches when a mission calls for it.

Not going to argue with someone over a toy.  Never have, never will.  Hope to see you this weekend if you can make it.   ;)

I'm in it for the Wookiees. :D I like the new paint and the use of those bandoleers. I still want new Wookiee sculpts though. Merumeru and a proper Tarfful for starters.

Do these Stormtroopers use that same mold that the Tantive IV BP Stormies used? I'll probably get one if that's the case.
