That same part comes with the repacked Darth Vader from TLC wave 1.

I may look into that because I could custom up the Vader at least.  The Jedi...  meh.

Why wouldn't Hasbro make that (the Jedi's part) something that comes with the Kashyyyk Trooper or something?  Blah.

The Jedi set is actually the only one i have yet to see at retail. It seems to be selling the quickest from the wave.

Saw this wave for the first time at Target. They only had the Grey 41st Clone and Holo Dooku.

I think the Engineer is the first one to go around these parts.  I picked up a few to serve as commanders for my other DS gunners.

I've been surprised to see the Imperial Engineer hanging around here in relatively large numbers for a while now. I still hope to pick up a few more.

I've been seeing the whole wave sitting around lately.

I've pretty much skipped the entire wave except for the Fett repaint.

If anyone could be so kind, and have assembled the RA droids, can you post a pic or two of them either alone or compared to their POTF2 equivalents?  I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting them- thanks!

Yeah, it really seems that for the most part these "repaint" waves end up sitting at retail a bit more than the other waves.  I know that I would have passed on much of both of these waves the last two years if it weren't for the coins or Build a Droid parts, respectively.  Sure, the figures aren't necessarily terrible - but just kind of boring in many cases.  We should start an idea thread for a nice repaint wave, and maybe Hasbro will take notice for 2009 (if/when we get another one).  Heck, there's a lot of OT concepts that we've discussed before here (the R2-D2 using the best body, a repainted OTC "spirit" Obi-Wan, etc.) that might be some good ideas.

I think an awesome start to any repaint wave is to include an astromech.  There are a couple dozen that still are unmade between the movies and Clone Wars show, not to mention all the fun Hasbro can have with the EU.

This wave has actually been kind of rare around me.  Whether it just took a long time to get here, or is just popular in my neck of the woods, I don't know.

I don't have my old RA-7's available for a comparison.  But the new version is remarkably better than the POTF2 era release.  The BAF has significantly more articulation.  The new version has ball jointed elbows and knees, along with articulation in the midsection.

The old version only has 5 points of articulation.  And it's stuck in something of a static pose.

Although it's not next to the POTF2 mold versions this should help.

That and its buffness makes it more Terminator-like then secratary driod like.
