That does make sense.  Although I was really hoping for a new Palpatine.  It's really strange that the fanbase has been embracing these villains, but Hasbro shies away from the biggest villain in the saga.

He has a double whammy, not only is he a villain, but he's old.

Here's another hint just in case. ;)

Nice to see the confirmations, I'm particularly anxious to see the new Grievous.  I'm wondering though what the wave make-up will be, as this week's Q and A here at JD basically confirms that the ROTS wave is six figures.  I'm guessing the clonetrooper is part of the repaint wave, but then does that confirm that there won't be a new Palpy in this wave (or maybe it was already confirmed)?  Going by those listings, the six figures would be:

Commander Faie
General Grievous
Bail Organa
Breha Organa
FX-6
Stass Allie

Its a little disappointing that we may not be seeing one of the ROTS Palpatines covered in this wave, they could both use some "ultimate" versions.

Hmmm.  I wonder if Commander Faie or the 327th Clone might actually be one of the repaint figures?

Here's descriptions of the characters from the page sources,

Commander Faie

Faie has received specialized training from ARC trooper Alpha, equipping him with the necessary skills to lead an elite battalion during the Clone Wars. He is part of task forces sent to Saleucami and Kashyyyk under the command of Jedi General Quinlan Vos.

General Grievous

A cyborg composed of melded metal and flesh, Grievous is one of the most chillingly effective military leaders in the Separatist's army. He is a powerful and frightening presence in battle, exhibiting strategic ingenuity and flawless cunning.

Bail Organa

A member of the Galactic Senate, Organa is also First Chairman and Viceroy of Alderaan. When Anakin falls to the dark side and Padmé dies in childbirth, Bail and his wife Breha adopt one of the twins, Leia, to raise as their own daughter.

Breha Organa

Queen Breha Organa is Alderaan's Minister of Education and the wife of Senator Bail Organa. Having longed for a child of her own for many years, Breha eagerly accepts one of Padmé's motherless twins and adopts her as the daughter she always dreamed of having.

FX-6

FX-6 is one of the medical droids that assist in the reconstruction of Darth Vader after the Sith Lord's devastating duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar. The droid has multiple arms equipped with a variety of medical and diagnostic tools.

Clone Trooper 327th Star Corps

The clone troopers in the 327th Star Corps are led by Clone Commander Bly and serve with Jedi General Aayla Secura on several planets in the Outer Rim Territories. This elite corps is distinguished by the yellow markings on their armor.

Stass Allie

A skilled warrior, political advisor and healer, Stass Allie serves on the Jedi Council after her cousin and former master, Adi Gallia, is killed by General Grievous. She is leading a mop-up operation on the planet of Saleucami when Order 66 is issued.

Kind of a boring wave, I am happy to see a new Grevious. It would have been cool if they had a Adi Gallia variant head/repaint for this wave to make it more robust.

Thanks for posting the descriptions Rune. None of them loaded for me on the Hasbro site.

The pages come up generic but the title bar of your browser window has the figure's name depending on the link clicked. You can then look at the source code of the web page and see the embedded metadata which contains the above descriptions.

I thought I read somewhere that the 327th listed there is actually a "Greatest Hits" (or maybe Legends?) repack figure.

Not technically in the 6 figure wave, but a repack shipping with the wave... or something like that.   ???

I did not realize that Breha was the Minister of Education.  Way to go Breha!
