Dr. Ezavan!!  I forgot him!  In fact, I bet he's the OT character with the most lines that has never recieved a carded figure!

Anyone know how everything is going with the Tonikka Sisters? I remember Hasbro said that they were making progress getting the rights for the living one. Seems like this would be a perfect fit for them. Anyway, here's what I'd like to see:

- Grand Moff Tarkin (SA/near SA)
- Obi-Wan Kenobi (SA, based off VOTC figure)
- Ponda Baba (near SA with removeable arm)
- Dr. Evazan (near SA)
- Jawa (TAC rerelease)
- Red Leader
- Commander Praji
- SA Rebel Fleet Trooper

If there are 6 figures, I'd throw out Praji and Red Leader

Wait...you would throw out 2 never before made characters (I don't count the Red Leader figure that was packed in with his X-Wing ;)  ), but you WOULD include a repack of the 30AC Jawa?  WHU?!?!

You know, I'm all for making obscure background characters into figures, but the focus on the Tonnika Sisters has always kind of vexed me.  With all the interesting designs yet to be done from the Cantina, the most wanted one is of a green bodysuit girl (or girls) with braided hair extensions?  If the Tonnika Sisters ever get made, I'll buy them, but they are nowhere near the top of my list for OT figures, much less ANH figures, and even further much less Cantina patron figures.  No intended hate to the Tonnika fans, but they just don't appeal to me much in the least.

With that said, this is what I'd like to see in a 6-8 figure ANH-themed wave (some of which others will undoubtedly harbor some of my Tonnika sentiments toward): :)

01.  Obi-Wan Kenobi (SA/Ultimate with soft goods, lightsaber, training remote, and blast shield helmet)
02.  Rebel Fleet Trooper (SA/Ultimate with running head variants)
03.  Ponda Baba (SA/Ultimate with blaster and removable arm)
04.  Dr. Evazan (SA/Ultimate with blaster pistol)
05.  Uncle Owen Lars (new sculpt)
06.  Bom Vimdin
07.  Red Leader (SA, new sculpt)
08.  Grand Moff Tarkin (SA, new sculpt)

ANH's probably my most interested film to see figures come about, so I thought about this a bit...  CHEWIE's list is pretty close to mine I think, but I'd go with this:

-Tarkin Resculpt (most needed non-army builder resculpt to me personally)
-Fleet Trooper SA Resculpt (this guy finally needs the works already...  If they were to include an extra piece with a scanner gun, I'd dig that)
-Bom Vimdin (my most wanted Cantina character right now)
-Dr. Evazan Resculpt (Ponda's not articulated, but holding up IMO, but Dr. E sucks, and has never held up)
-Ultimate Tatooine Luke Skywalker (easily, to me, the most needed hero from ANH is a "final" Luke figure that could easily get a STormtrooper belt slapped on him for a DSE version)
-Black Tunic Imperial Officer (again, a long-needed figure to me).

That'd be my 6-figure choice...

An 8-figure choice, I'd add:

-Ponda Baba Resculpt (He's holding up, but not fantastic, and who wouldn't love a new one?  I like the idea of alternate "flipper" hands as well)
-Death "Squad" Star Commander (I'd like a new sculpt honestly, or at least a little retooling to the legs so they're a little less akward looking, and more normal height)

And honorable mentions would definitely go to:

-Generic X/Y-Winger...  Young headsculpt, 70's hair, clean helmet with powder blue emblem and black visor.
-Red Leader
-Red Leader's R5 Unit
-Yavin IV Hangar Technician/Mechanic
-Luke Stormtrooper
-Han Stormtrooper
-Ultimate "Old Ben" Kenobi (is that what we'll get from the Evo one?  I hope so!)
-Wioslea
-Orange Mos Eisley R5
-Cantina Midget (You know you want the Cantina midget)
-Tonnika Sisters (I agree, they're not my top want, but I'd dig getting them)
-Garrouf Lafoe (Cantina Snitch)
-Drunk Jawa Squatters (outside Cantina)
-Various Imperial Head Variants for the black tuniced Officer...  Lots of them had lines, I'd dig getting some of them with the brown leather holster, rank, and headsculpt variations.
-Y-Winger ("Stay On Target", Gold 2?)
-Red 10 X-Winger (Red helmet)
-"Space"Trooper Stormtrooper
-Yerka Migg
-Cantina Dude/Spacer
-Danz Borin
-Rebel Officer (Honor Guard w/cap, though I'd like the guys with the neck scarfs to be honest)
-Yavin IV Communications Officer (Made the calls to the pilots from the base, similar, but different from the regular Yavin IV Mechanics/Techs)

And probably about a dozen other figures...

A New Hope, to me anyway, is easily one of the more fertile grounds for figures, especially army builders, even in obscurity.  Lots of Aliens, droid repaints, resculpt possibilities, army builders...  Just a very rich film to yet tap for characters IMO.

Hard to believe that there are so many characters to make from a 30 year old film.

An interesting tidbit from the GH Q&A this week -

Quote
However, we can indeed confirm that SA Stormtrooper versions of our heroes *are* finally coming as part of the EpIV wave along with some more surprises that will be revealed at Comic Con.

Very glad to finally see these done... now let's hope that they actually make Luke a little shorter than Han. ;)

Finally! I doubt they're gonna get the scale right, unfortunately. :-\

I'd love to see the rest of this wave made up of an SA RFT and a few cantina aliens.

Oooh, they confirmed old Ben?  Was that the evolutions set?  If he's part of the regular wave, I'm thrilled.  Do him right and I'll buy 5 or so for various shelf scenes:  I need him for the Cantina, his house (without cloak), the Falcon hold (without cloak), during the Tusken attack, and for a DS scene or 2.
Edit: just read the thread about cancelling the Evolutions in favor of single versions  8)

I wonder how different the Luke and Han will/could be from the later comic pack ones (other than the red eyes helmets.)

Hopefully they'll have ball-jointed wrists and hips.

I hope they don't have removable armor.

The thought of that makes me involuntarily do the sideshow Bob shudder.
