Hmm, decisions, decisions... I think I'm going to go ahead and pick up this new set unless I see the 2003 box set on sale for cheap. (yeah right) Plus, I have lots of access to the 2003 box set so if I ever want to view that bonus disc, it's easily available.

Too bad there's no cheap way to get both box sets and find someone willing to buy 2003 movie discs in the 2008 box...

So, looks like the box set is sold out around here, and I'm too cheap to pay the few extra bucks to get all 3 movies individually.

How much does the set cost?

This week's prices are as follows:

Store:  Individual movies each/box set

Circuit:  $11.99/$34.99
Best Buy:  $12.99/$34.99  (exclusive comic books with individual discs)
Target:  $13.78/$37.99
Amazon:  $16.99/$39.99
Sears:  $17.99/$40.49
Deep Discount:  $19.79/$38.89
Costco:  $37.99 box

Also, I found the box set at Sam's Club today and immediately passed because the movies were in the slim cases. I don't really care for the slim cases and also would prefer the movies to match up with the KOTCS DVD so I ended up just picking up the individual discs at Best Buy. (as I had a Reward Zone coupon)

I saw both the individual and box set versions at Target, and have to admit that I was slightly tempted.  I kind of like the box art, but it isn't enough to re-buy the movies.  Still, the Indy trilogy was second only to the Star Wars OT to me growing up (and for the most part, still today), so I can't say I wasn't tempted to grab at least one of them.  But, after buying two versions of each of the OT movies, there was no way I was selling the Mrs. on these :P.  Plus, I have the earlier box set, and I'm perfectly happy with those too.

I have to admit, I've been slightly tempted to grab at least the single release Raiders at Target this week (where I think they were in the $10 DVDs, if I saw correctly).  I don't know if it would be worth it or not though.  This from a sucker who has two copies of the OT as well.  As a side note, I noticed that Amazon has the original Indy box set for $25 - a pretty good deal I thought.  The three original movies plus the bonus disc.

Got the set today, I wish they would've put papers in the cases. :(

I got this as a gift yesterday. It was late so I haven't seen them yet, though. The packaging is kinda boring, but I'm glad to finally have the trilogy on DVD.
