I FINALLY just found the friggin' ESB wave!  Unreal!  But, my track record for finding everything on the pegs is holding...

Nice figures.  The Hoth Rebel is outstanding, and my favorite figure in ages.

I'm now not going to discriminate thanks to Hasbro...  I'd been holding off on clean shaven guys, but I'll headswap instead and buy up bearded ones.  I'll wind up with a lot of guys sporting the goatee and sideburns I guess, but at least I'll have guns-a-plenty too.

Just no rifles...   :-\

ESB wave is still probably the toughest wave to find in Pittsburgh though, which makes (so far) both Hoth Rebels a difficult find for me.

I picked up the WM Droid factory sets too (thanks to Bikerscout.) Yeah, $17 each. I'm going to sit on these a while and really think about this whole completist thing. What were these last year? $10? A 70% increase? Not sure how this is justified.

Last year they were cheap like that - and they all ended up on clearance.  I saved my receipts and ended up getting them for about $4.00 each when it was all said and done.

But, if you believe what Hasbro was saying at SDCC, it sounds like because of the huge clearance/surplus of sets last year, they cut the production numbers this year.

I'm not saying you won't find them on clearance in some parts of the USA, but it sounds like there may not be enough for the over-whelming blow-out of last year (once again, if you belive Hasbro that is).

How long after a sale does WM honor reductions?  Do you have to return the item and repurchase or will they do an adjustment?

It's either 7 or 14 days. Within that time, you can just bring in a receipt.

Yeah, but if you just keep the receipts, they're good for 90 days.  You can just buy clearanced items and then return them on the originals for up to 3 months after your purchase date.  Not to sound like a cheap bastard, but if they're going to clearance something out 3 months or less from it's inception, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to correct your purchase date to get the better price.

Of course at walmart, you could just return an item without an receipt for store credit. This works great for unwanted Chistmas gifts.

Picked up three of the mini RC droids at Target for $4.24 each on clearance.

Now that's a good price. I havn't seen these go on clearance yet. In fact, I've only seen two stores that actually had tags for them. It would be good to get some more since their batteries seem to die quickly.

Depending on how big the Target you are near and whether they are going to have the 3 sides of an aisle as action figs or just 2 sides for the Christmas set has determined whether they are keeping the RC Droids on planogram or clearancing them out (as far as I can tell).

I picked up the R5-X2 on clearance as well, but the rest of them are long gone now (R2 definitely sold the quickest locally).
