damn kids...  I totally missed the draft.  Here's hoping Yahoo didn't screw me over...  :-[

edit:
OK, so I looked over my team, and it's not terrible, but I really wish I could have been there paying attention as I probably would have done a few things differently.   :-\  Ah well, draft usually doesn't matter all that much anyway.   :P

Ditto.  But I've got a number of players I'm quite happy with.  For those of you that were there, do you remember the order that each team picked?

Thanks Rob!  I figured I must have been pretty close to the top to get Crosby.  :)

I remember I was dead last. :P

Joe Thornton is pretty nice pick though for last.

Well yeah, the link I posted shows that you drafted him with the second pick.   :)

So has this thing started?  The league page says scoring started on September 29th, I'm getting notes about how Lundqvist won tonight in the season opener, but the stat-tracker isn't showing any scoring at all for any team.

Yeah, it has started, but only the games in Europe.  The stat-tracker is only sort of working at this point, because while there are a couple of legitimate games in Europe, the rest of the teams back in North America are still playing exhibition games.  They can't get it to discern between the two at this point, so it'll be fuzzy until later in the week when the rest of the teams all start up.

Ugh... with everything going on around here lately, I keep neglecting my team... I've been forgetting to check rosters, set line-ups, etc.  I suck.   :-[

Uh, aren't you in first place?  Or are you more concerned your lead isn't large enough to sustain my typical late season challenge?  Cuz I'm looking at the order of the placings and going yup, looks right to me except I need to pass you again, but I think I'm down on games right now.

So much for relying on Yahoo for injury updates...

"Injured Flyers centre Briere out for up to a month"

No little yellow square with a red alert image on it on Yahoo anywhere, and this happened nearly a week ago.   ::)

This is just like last year, I'm competing for (or in) first place for the beginning of the season, but last year I petered out and finished 4th.  We'll see what happens.

Argh.  Nabokov's out.  It keeps looking like he's coming back, but then he doesn't skate.  Hopefully this won't be a nagging injury...

This year has been terrible... minimal effort has kept my team in the middle of the pack, but starting a new job (one which doesn't let you do fantasy sports on the internet) has severly impacted my free time to keep up with my team and the NHL in general.

I need to put a big sticky note on my PC that says, "check your fantasy team, stupid" because the only time I ever remember I need to do it is when I'm away from the PC.   ::)
