did a little updating to vos, not sure if i like the beard or not. I kinda like the white added tho.

A comparsion of modified hair

Evo anakin
torso and upper legs
EU comic Quin
Boots, head (modifed hair) and arms
Armour
storm shadow gijoe comic packaccesory

storm shadow gijoe comic packaccesory

boots were cut from both figs, (top of evo anakin knees, boots are knee high); quin's boots are mid calf high, so i cut where the knee wud be; I then drmeled to accomodate the artic knees (heavily shaved w/xacto, the knee plates hide the scars) of the evo anakin, set and then glued inplace. knee armour is tied in place with elastic thread; full knee artic still intact.

Regal and Majestic; caedus rules with an iron fist of love.

All opposition are destryed, Emporer Caedus rules supreme

Cleaner shot of face, i added "amour"to the boots.  I also trimmed down the chest amour and tucked it under the robes

PARTS:
Tac DST toso and thighs/upper legs
Darth Reven
arms
Darth Vader boots, under robes (TAC?) and capes (votc and comic pack vader)
Garinden belt
boots/feet copperhead from gi joe comic pac

Note:
I have 2 capes, and a over/surge cloak that can be swapped out for a different look; worn singly or 2 at once. look at the position of the chest armour and cape; u'll see the diffs in placement of both robe combo's, under and over armour

Both Cadeus and Quinlan are awesome.

Is the head of Cadeus from Prince Caspian?

Man, I would have loved to have seen progression pics of these being made.

That's something I wish more customizers would do. Don't just show the end product, but what you started with (ie., base figures and/or parts), shots of the custom in progress, then the final piece.  Just a thought and this wasn't directed at Talon specifically, but a request of all customizers who post here.

Personally, I've never swapped arms or legs from figures other than cutting them off. If there is a way to boil and pop, please show that. Or in the case of these figs where dremmeling was involved, show that too.

This would go far in helping others who want to customize and help them learn how to do it.

Again, awesome job Talon!

thnx jedi_master_sal
the trouble wih in progress pix, for me at least, is that i never kno how the fig will turn out until its done.  i have a certain idea of what i want but it never really turns into the "vision".  Quin has been changed 4 times in as many months, and caedus has been on my shelf for 6+mos.

Unless i feel the fig is ready for show, i wont show it; im just weird that way.   :-\

You did a great job on both. The parts go together seamlessly and paint is perfectly applied.

Wonderful job on both figures. I really like Emporer Caedus. He reminds me of a kick ass version of Snape.

Blue is taking a LOT longer than anticipated.  I think its the paint i am using but im in like nine coats already, trying to get her all nice and red.  To avoid brush strokes; im doing a kind of dry brush technique, but i may have to start over as the paint is starting to chip here and there.   sigh
