I plan on watching the Watchmen this weekend.  I don't read comics and I have no clue what this movie is about, but I've heard it's a cool flick.

We shall see in just under 2 1/2 days what me thinks.  ;)

I watched the 1st DVD disk on the motion comic last night, it's good but a tad to slow. Each comic is roughly 25-29 mins long but I had to speed it up a tad as the narration is just too... yep slow. Still good tho & looking forward to watching the rest tonight, happy " :) " I picked it up.  ;D

Then off to get the Tales of the Black Freighter on March 24th.  ;D

Unless Rob can score me an autographed copy by all involved, yeah like that's gonna happen!

If you wanted to send it to me I could have it signed by some of the team and sent back... but the animators were in Korea, and one of the co-director's is based out of the west coast and just left the company.

I could get the director and comp team though.

I guess I didn't pay close enough attention till today, I thought the DVD release this week had the Black Freighter on it.  I'm actually probably going to skip this release and just see the film then get the BF DVD when it comes out later.

Watchmen Proves The Cold War Is An Alien World | review by Charlie Jane Anders

"After a couple of decades since the Berlin Wall, and years of superhero movies, a guy wearing an inkblot mask to beat up criminals seems more sane than Mutually Assured Destruction. We understand superheroes and costumed asskickers, but we no longer understand Henry Kissinger."

Target is selling the graphic novel. $15.99. I think that's pretty cool.

A somewhat lukewarm review of Watchmen up at IGN, not that reviews usually matter all that much anyways.  I hope I'm able to get out to see this in the next month or so, but as one of the few who hasn't yet read the entire graphic novel - just parts of it online (a copy is on the way in the mail), I wanted to read it through all the way first.

Saw it last night at midnight and really liked it.  There  were a couple things I didn't care for such as the guy that played Nixon and I missed there not being more involvement of the news stand guy, just because he was kind of a character in the comic.  But I see why they skipped him...but that also made the news paper office scene at the end a little "tossed in."

Loved, loved, loved Jackie Earl Haley as Rorschach!  I also liked Patrick Wilson and Jeffrey Dean Morgan who really nailed the Comedian as far as I'm concerned.  Malin Akerman was sufficiently hot.

Can't wait to see the Black Freighter DVD.  I want to see this film again but I don't know if I'll see it in theaters or wait for the DVD.  At today's prices, it'll be cheaper to buy the DVD!

Just got back from seeing the Watchmen... loved it! Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach, perfect as with the other characters except Robert Wisden as Nixon. Malin Akerman, well...

Will I see Watchmen again... ah yup.
